Oh man. I can’t wait to hear “Mandy” rewritten with Ron Paul lyrics.
That was done by Meetup groups of Paul supporters. Paul's official campaign is not affiliated with the thousands of volunteers who work on his behalf.
You were on those threads where it was discussed so please don't act like you don't know anything about it.
I was on that thread in the trenches battling you guys, so I remember it. When the smoke cleared, there still was no evidence that Paul's campaign is being supported by the anti-war kooks and moonbats.
AMEN! I cannot for the life of me understand why more people can't see this! Every time I see his signs in our very liberal area it's just so obvious. They have put one sign up that says "Ron Paul" and under that is "Revolution", but they have taken the letters "evol" and turned them around so they read "reLOVEtion". I mean, come on, no conservative would do that, and especially with him.
Thanks jrooney. You guys are lucky I’m on my lunch hour and have to go back to work.
That a person supports Ron Paul for the Republican nomination does not necessarily mean they are libertarian ... and it does not mean they would support him in the election. There are a couple of reasons an avowed liberal might support Paul. First, liberals, socialists and communists would LOVE for Paul to get nominated by the Republicans - it would make the liberal vision of American foreign policy a guaranteed victor in the 2008 election.
And, second, Paul is clearly among the weakest of the Republican candidates available, and a divisive figure amongst conservatives. Thompson or Giuliani would be formidible ... Paul would not. His nomination would divide the conservative base, send many (or most) to a third party, place a weak and pathetic candidate at the head of the opposition party, and virtually guarantee a Democrat victory in 2008.
Manilow’s not a closet libertarian ... otherwise he wouldn’t have boycotted “The View” based solely on the presence of Elizabeth Hasselbeck ... a person more aligned with the libertarian viewpoint than her cohorts.

Perhaps, but the Paulestinians on here are trying to spin it as though they are 'converting' those people to conservative values. We all know that is hogwash.
When the smoke cleared, there still was no evidence that Paul's campaign is being supported by the anti-war kooks and moonbats.
LOL Dream on, Alice, you'll get to Wonderland some day.
>> Please explain to me how Paul can “fight” conservatives in a primary election.
Because he is the only player in the Republican Primary representing a clearly liberal view of American foreign policy. Thus, his lone support for leftist foreign policy stances makes him the ONLY person in the Republican Primary fighting AGAINST conservatives.

Could I get on your “Paulistinian” ping list?
Thanks.

I am not worried about it. I just stated the simple fact of why Barry donated.
Regarding Ron Paul,
I have a core respect for Ron the principle that he is striving for that I don’t think I will ever do away with. On the other hand, I have a growing antipathy that I think will be just as lasting.
I think it could be summed up up in this.
“Ron would be such a great man if he weren’t freaking nuts!”
I’ve also seen those same signs down here on my college campus of FIU here in Miami.
Interesting! Heck, I thought that was just a homemade sign some of our local dingbats had put up. Surely these are not being done by their people, are they? (Ron Paul people I mean). How embarrassing if so.
I think this whole thread is ridiculous, hell they would probably like it more if Barry sent that money right to the DNC more than Paul, and I support Duncan Hunter. If Paul can part Democrats from their money, I am all for it, that is less money for the DNC and other lib candidates.

Oy. E3, step away from the computer. You're losing it.
but but but....he writes the songs the whole world sings!
>> If Paul can part Democrats from their money, I am all for it, that is less money for the DNC and other lib candidates.
Faulty logic. An individual can donate a maximum of $2,300 to a candidate. Manilow, an independently wealthy liberal, has maxed out several Democrat candidates in addition to Paul (Hillary, Edwards, Obama and Biden each got $2,300).
Given Manilow’s wealth, and the fact that he’s donated the $2,300 maximum to FIVE Presidential candidates ... its safe to assume he’s not withholding money from anyone due to his donation to Paul.
Paul’s not taking money from Democrat pockets ... he’s wasting money that wouldn’t have otherwise been donated to anyone.
