Rudy Giuliani, an ardent gun-control advocate as mayor, will address the NRA Friday.

I will not vote for Guiliani in the primaries. If he wins the GOP nomination I will probably vote Democrat, as at least that way I’ll expect the subsequent loss of gun rights.
After being a member since the late 1960s I finally gave up on the NRA and as of July I have been an ex-member. When a paid NRA phone canvasser tried to convince me that I should continue my membership because the NRA always acts in the best interests of all lawful gun owners, I asked why it supports the abominable anti-gun bill that is being backed by both NJ's virulently anti-gun Senator Lautenberg and the NRA, two strange bedfellows if ever there were two. His lame explanation that the bill would somehow work to the benefit of all gun owners if it becomes law was not convincing to say the least. The NRA's support for another gun law on top of the vast number of useless gun laws already on the books wasn't necessarily the last straw for me, but it sure contributed to the load.
The ONLY way I would EVER vote for this guy is if Hillery is the other choice.
Giuliani = LSoS
I won't even do that.
I fully realize that Hillary as president would be a national disaster of the first magnitude, but I won't vote for any pro-abortion candidate for any office. I promised that to God and myself many years ago and I will stand by my promise.
I will vote for my GOP Senator and Congressman and the minor party candidate who best represents my views and positions, and I won't feel irresponsible by not voting against Hilary because my one vote will have no, nada, zilch impact on the outcome of the presidential election one way or the other.
...Especially if you reside in the Peoples Republic of Maryland.
He is the Bill Clinton of the GOP.
Which would be a mistake because Giuliani would do more damage than Hillary and his election would prevent a conservative from reaching the White House for eight years.
The other problem is there's no guarantee whatever that a fellow who "changes" in order to become elected won't "change" back again once he is in office. I'm perfectly willing to be convinced, however - all Rudy has to do is to work equally and achieve equally for the Second Amendment as he has against it. Too bad that'll take a few years. Whose fault is that?
Well, the timing of this announcement could have been better if they’d have waited till a really bad blizzard hit somewhere back up in the Northeast early next year...
He could have coupled this bull-butter announcement with a whole “What Global Warming problem?” statement...
The primaries are really going to be neat to watch this election cycle...
If the Democrat was just your garden variety, left of center Democrat, I may agree with both of you. But Hitlery is a devout socialist and would be effective in implementing her agenda.
Well I assume you are antiabortion because all life is sacred and should be protected
That holds true for the unborn
BUT it also holds true for the born whom therefore have the right to SELF protection . And that is one reason for the right of gun ownership
You should therefore be against any candidate that is against private gun ownership as much as for abortion
Just look at the abortion loving politicians and you will also find an anti gun ownership one
If Giuliani reaches office, there will be no stopping any liberal agenda he would push through as Republicans aren't going to stop the President of their own party from trying to pass it. Plus, a Giuliani Presidency will guarantee loses for the GOP in Congress and likely result in social conservatives in the social flocking back to the Democratic party.
Rooty is glad you consider him a "showstopper."
" Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk. Music loud and women warm.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive. Stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive.
Feel the city breakin' And ev'rybody shakin' And we're stayin' alive,
stayin' alive.Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive. Stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive.
Life goin' nowhere. Somebody help me. Somebody help me, yeah. Life goin'
nowhere. Somebody help me, yeah.Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive. Stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive."
I see Rudy still doesn't get it. The Second Amendment, like the First, is NOT subject to 50 different interpretations and 50 sets of laws.
Right up there with death bed conversions and confessions.
