Marrying a political attack with a fundraising gambit, Rudy has fashioned his own ad for the New York Times. He blasted it out to supporters this afternoon as part of a money solicitation and has put a portion of it on his website just above a contribution form.

The previous answer is not from his website, some is what I have written, some is collected from others. I’ve assembled some files to some frequently asked questions. To save time in case I forget something.

I really don’t have time to rank them in order of importance. I also don’t have any more time to type although there is more to say. A lot is I like the things he talks about. I have wished for years that someone would address these things. The substance of what he says, and the way he deals with people.

Nuff said. I wasn’t trying to impress the average voter, and I really wasn’t even trying to impress you. You asked a question and I answered it twice in different ways. I like him and I really want to vote for him. The more time goes on, the more clear it is. No one else even comes close.

Well, I disagree only slightly. I think they have moved to the center. That was part of Karl Rove’s master plan of ensuring a permanent and lasting GOP majority...be as many things to as many people.

Thus the runaway spending, Medicare Part D biggest expansion in entitelements since the Great Society and amnesty to capture the Latino vote.

Can’t argue with much of that. I haven’t read much political history, but if JFK and Truman were essentially conservatives back then (I agree), what were Eisenhower and Nixon like politically? Abortion, gun rights, and gays weren’t big topics.

As for the parties moving left - I think the vocal minority have moved the Democrats way left, but instead of resisting, it seems to me the current Republican Party leadership went along. The message I’m seeing to the ones left behind is to follow the Party, regardless of the platform, or lose your voice altogether.

I truly and completely hope your belief becomes reality.

Between Rudy and any democrat on the list (I lol'd at the demented elf), I would vote for neither candidate.

I would likely write-in someone or leave it blank. And I would not b***h about the result. I'd be calling my guys in Congress up to fight each and every piece of liberal legislation that floats through, in the hope it doesn't make to the President's desk, whomever that would be.

As much as it chagrins me to say it - the abortion issue is what makes it an absolute dealbreaker (on religious grounds) for me on Giuliani. The other issues make it easier to dislike the man's candidacy, but I cannot, in good conscience, vote for someone with a pro-choice history and positions, even if the alternative is worse.

I have a little (if misplaced) faith in Republican congressmen to at least put up a fight in Hillary is elected. If Giuliani is elected, I don't think they fight.

I do not support Rudy, because of his positions on the 2nd Amendment, abortion, the definition of "strict constructionist judges" and several other issues.

That being said, I am pleased with his frontal assault on Hillary and the agenda of the liberal leftists who have seized control of the Democrat Party.

You're either with us or against us, and visiting Syria, Iran and other terrorist states demonstrates conclusively that you are not with us! Rush said it today, and we FReepers need to repeat this as often as we can, to as many people as we can that, during the questioning of General Petreus, the Democrats NEVER ONCE asked General Petreus what they could do to help support him and his officers, and what could they do to support the troops to succeed in their mission to defeat Al-Queda!

Every Dem that I watched that questioned General Petreus spent the vast majority of their time making speeches questioning both the General's and the President's statements regarding the situation on the ground.

It is not possible for the Dems to insist that they support the troops while, at the same time insulting their leader and implying that he and his report have been manipulated by President Bush.

I don't like his history with his wife and kids. I don't like that he made millions speaking about 9/11 as if he was some kind of hero. I don't like his stands on abortion, gun control and some other things and I certainly don't like this very very strange behavior. Rudy is a weirdo.

But if it ends up being between Rudy and Hillary I won't think twice about voting for him.

A situation similar to this occurred in October of 2001, when Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, a CAIR financier, offered New York City a check for $10 million dollars to go towards relief efforts, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. The check was rejected by the former Mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, on the grounds that the money was attached to a political statement made by Bin Talal, concerning America’s relationship to the Mid East.

While visiting the wreckage, Bin Talal called the attacks “a tremendous crime.” He added, “We are here to tell America and to tell New York that Saudi Arabia is with the United States wholeheartedly.” However, in a written statement handed out by his publicist, the Prince had another message for America. He stated, “At times like this one, we must address some of the issues that led to such a criminal attack. I believe the government of the United States of America should re-examine its policies in the Middle East and adopt a more balanced stance toward the Palestinian cause.”

Mayor Giuliani responded by stating, “There is no moral equivalent for this attack. The people who did it lost any right to ask for justification when they slaughtered 5,000, 6,000 innocent people. Not only are those statements wrong, they’re part of the problem.” He said the statements were “highly irresponsible and very, very dangerous.”

Most of us are giddy simply because someone in the Republican Party has actually challenged their actions. Good enough. But I want to see more of it, by other Republicans, and harder hitting.
