Politically and in wartime, taunts have served an important purpose, to rally the troops and to pull just a few more drops of gas out of a nearly national gas tank. Remember John Paul Jones’ famous retort to the British “I have not yet begun to fight.” Remember Division Commander General Tony McAuliffe’s response to a German surrender demand at Bastogne, “Aw Nuts”, Douglas MacArthur’s “I Shall Return” and President Bush, standing on the rubble of the World Trade Center saying, “I hear you. And the people who did this will hear from us.”

But that is EXACTLY what we need. Unfortunately the Olbermann Liberation Front would be offended...when we mocked the Nazis we weren’t mocking the germans as a people...when we mocked Tojo we weren’t mocking the Japanese as a people.
Yakov Smirnov did more to taunt the Soviets than almost anyone. In fact Natan Sharansky, often tells a joke about being in the gulags..he kept laughing at his jailers...it made them nuts...he said because he was “free inside” he could laugh...and that the jailers were the prisoners...because they couldn’t freely lampoon the system..
We need to taunt and mock radical islam, it removes their power...
