Two Miami-Dade police officers have been injured in a so-called Tactical Operation gone bad in Cutler Bay.
This is currently a developing story that began at SW 281st Street and 143rd Court in Cutler Bay where the two officers were possibly shot, reportedly with an assault rifle.
Other officers may have also been hurt but only with minor injuries.
At least one officer has been transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
After the shooting, one suspect barricaded himself inside a building at 280th Street and Southwest 143RD Court.
The other suspect took off in a White Honda Accord and began driving on the Turnpike and led police on a short chase before he bailed out at 222nd Street and SW 110th Avenue.
That suspect, described as a chubby white man with long black hair remains on the loose.
Broward County police agencies have been alerted to the shooting of the Miami-Dade Officers.

The vest that patrol officer wear only stop handgun rounds. You need heavy (read 60+ lbs) of ceramic armor to stop a rifle round.
And the vest only works in two instances. If you’re wearing it and if the vest gets between your body and the bullet. Shot in the head, armpit, leg, groin, lower abdomen, neck, etc., = no protection.
Well this now looks like some planning went into these events. If she misled the police in telling them his name was Werner, then it means she knew about the stolen ID of the guy in Jacksonville. Also, Labeet had a police record, which would have prevented him from buying the 3 AK-47’s, which probably explains why he stole the ID in the first place.

I remember that incident. When the reporters questioned the lead SWAT guy in charge of the pursuit as to the number of rounds, the cop apparently misunderstood the thrust of the question and replied: It was everything we had!

Sounds like kids are safe...the girl might be his wife or girlfriend. Man is being questioned that appears to be the suspect, but no confirmation. Heavy police presence down south of the area and no explanation why according to reporter.

Don’t worry, we all will be paying for it when some slime-ball ambulance chaser files a federal civil rights lawsuit. For what I don’t know yet, but be assured the sharks, including JJ & Rev Al are watching this closely for any hint of racism real or imagined.
If the perp is arrested and a murder prosecution is undertaken, you can believe that the Miami public defenders will be looking for supression of all evidence just as they obtained in this case:
