Hillary Clinton: I Will Change Our Country
The American Thinker ^ | September 13, 2007 | Steven M. Warshawsky

In the spring of 1993, shortly after her husband and political benefactor Bill Clinton took office as the nation's 42nd president, Hillary Clinton delivered the commencement address at the University of Texas. In her speech, Hillary reiterated the theme that has been at the heart of her political vision from the start:

"We are at a stage in history in which remolding society is one of the great challenges facing all of us in the West." "Remolding society." This is the terminology of a utopian socialist, one who seeks to remake society according to a narrow and dogmatic ideology that claims to eliminate injustice, poverty, and unhappiness, once and for all. Hillary's ideology is an amalgam of New Left marxism and grievance feminism, the kind of unwholesome stew that is commonplace on elite college campuses.

When such a large proportion of the country has already seemed to turn away from the clash of civilizations that was revealed to them on September 11, 2001, what can we expect?

For her, when the HSU fits, she has to Wear it :)

"I'm not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the president."

Hillary Clinton

"Many of you are well enough off that the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

Hillary Clinton

"The American people are tired of liars and people who pretend to be something they're not."

Hillary Clinton

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."

Hillary Clinton

"Research shows the presence of women raises the standards of ethical behavior and lowers corruption."

Hillary Clinton

"The only way to make a difference is to acquire power."

Hillary Clinton

"We just can't trust the American people to make those types of choices. Government has to make those choices for people."

You have very good points. But I think you misunderstand mine; I feel they are both the enemy for those of us who love freedom. I think of it as in WWII we fought Germany and Japan now we fight Islamofascists and Socialists. Yes the socialists’ are being used as useful idiots.

“Are there enough of “us” out there to preserve the U.S.?”

They say George Washington had about 1/3 of the populace wuth him, 1/3 were on the fence and the other third were with the Brits.

She’s most likely already picked out the new curtains for her taxpayer-funded dacha.

This says more about the state of our country and culture and the quality of our political discourse than it does about Hillary, that this fascist, corrupt woman hasn't been laughed off the stage long ago (or thrown in jail) and she may very well be our next President.

After all, we already have had a loooong 8 year run of she and her husband inhabiting the White House. It's not like we don't know who she is or what she is about. We have seen what they do!

It is more than "troubling". It's frightening, really.

What works in Canada and Great Britian isn't going to work here in the U.S

It doesn't work there, either.

Well, yep that's right.

When I said what works, it may be for those in those countries with political connections to those in charge but it doesn't work at all for everybody else and it sure isn't going to work here in the U.S.

You are correct. Her election could be a chapter straight out of “Atlas Shrugged”. Traditional values would clearly be headed to extinction. How many of us would loose hope and give up, not wanting to be a part of the society that elected her?

Up until a few months ago, I didn’t think there was any way Hillary Clinton could become president. Sadly, I have reversed my oppinion 180 degrees. The way things look now, I don’t see how she can possibly lose. Democrats are mindleslly falling in line behind her, not even knowing why they’re doing it. And Republicans are so damn stubborn in that they have to have the ideal “Reagan-esque” conservative candidate that it’s spliting the party into. The Democrats are united, while Republicans have too much internal fighting going on. This Hsu scandal would destroy her if she was a Republican. But the press will lock it up like Fort Knox. I’ve been extremely depressed about this for the last 6 weeks. Am even thinking of going to the doctor and seeing if I can’t get sedatives perscribed.

I’ve already started a countdown to January 20, 2017. The day that this country will finally not have to deal with the Clintons anymore. I’m almost starting to wish Kerry had won in 2004, as that would have killed Hillary’s white house chances.

Ah, I understand your perspective, but that brings to mind my point which was as I posted:

“I think the War on Socialism needs be raised to the level of the War On Terror, and that both be addressed simultaneously.”

I don’t believe we as a Society understand, or rather grasp that the aggressive Socialist movement is successfully, incrementally undermining our Republic, therefore we need to get a grasp of the fact that it is. We must address the Socialist aggression with an attitude that their aggression is also a war, albeit an idealogical war.

I see Islamofascism as an extension of the Ancient Religious wars (due the source, and their stated reasoning), and Socialism as a relatively current Idealogical war. We must address and defeat them both relative to what type of war we need to fight to remain the Free Society we cherish.
