At 8 to 1 odds of becoming the next US President, Republican Ron Paul must be a happy camper. Too bad the mainstream media hasn't quite picked up on his grass roots popularity just yet though.
But good news has come to the Ron Paul camp. Media sources have been abuzz all day long Monday of the 60 Minutes camera crew arriving at Ron Paul's Washington office early in the morning. Whether there will be a story on Dr. Paul or simply a general segment on the Presidential candidates as a whole remains to be seen.
The Free Market News Network claims that "Media has exploded for Ron Paul since his breakthrough debate with Mike Huckabee over the war in Iraq." This debate occurred just a few days ago but garnered Paul plenty of national attention to be sure.
CNN remains in negotiations for a Ron Paul (R-Tex) debate with Mike Huckabee and negotiations over the candidate's appearance on O'Reilly tonight appear to have been worked out, as Ron Paul's own website announced this morning. O'Reilly's site carries the following: "Showdown Over Iraq: Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul goes head-to-head with Bill." Stay tuned.
Bill O'Reilly's television program is the most popular network news show.

all other US Presidential candidates.
Paul has more principles in his pinky finger than Oven Mitt will ever dream of.
I am no fan of O’Reilly, but he beat up on Paul badly and it appeared to me that O’Reilly did so, with half his brain tied behing his back.
I'd rather watch mold generate on my shower curtain than debate the Paul bashers. They're the same offspring anyway. LOL

How can anyone refer to or site national security when our own national borders are a national security risk at every level imaginable?
Bill does not have much to work with when he uses it all! Using half and skewering him like he did says a lot about paul.

See post 18 =)

Are you referring to the “Anti-Gun O’Really”? or the “Post-Katrina Pro-Gun O’Really”? Seems he was soooo anti-gun before that little dust-up in New Orleans...then when he opened his eyes, decided the little people should have guns. Seems he hadn’t thought about the little people having guns before.
Is there a bigger snob and bag of wind in the country?

Post #2, and the insults are already flying. Why is there such a vitriolic anti-Paul contingent here? Why not define yourself by who you support rather than who you like to trash?
Yep, the dims would carry all fifty states.
Surrender is never a core Republican issue.
I could go on in great detail about how "sticking your head in the sand" is a mischaracterization of Paul's point of view, but to do that would be to let you and yours choose the talking points.
The things I do talk about with regard to Paul are the things I like about him...and I would like those same things about ANY candidate who endorsed limited government, reduced spending, and proper respect for the Constitution. It wouldn't have to be Paul.
Finding such a candidate is difficult at best these days, and when one is found he's generally tossed under the bus at the first opportunity by the Republican establishment.
Remember Jim Snyder vs. Liddy Dole for N.C. Senator? Thanks, guys.
You despise this candidate so much that you've changed your tagline to attack him.
There must be something there, or you and your fellow travelers wouldn't be so scared.
Well, as I've discovered, attempting to "debate" the Paul bashers is kind of like playing fetch with a pit bull. No matter how many times you throw the ball, he goes for your throat.
ummm actually he is far more intelligent than any of you and so are his supporters. The problem with most of you is that none of you know our history. The reason we learn history in school is so that we don’t continue to make the same mistakes. Realize the government in power in Iran is a government WE PUT IN POWER. Ron Paul actually brought this up in an earlier debate, in 1953 we staged a political coup that over through the Iranian government. Did you know that back then Iran had a democracy, a parliament and voted for their prime minister. We got rid of him because he wanted to nationalize their oil which would be wrong for us and now our corporations own 50% of their oil fields. REALIZE WHY THEY ARE AGREE WITH US! This is all fact, this is from un classified documents from our CIA. PBS did a documentary on it. After we did that they took American Hostages and thus began hating America. WE HAVE CAUSED THIS BECAUSE OF OUR AWFUL FOREIGN POLICY! We need to stop policing the world! Our fore fathers told us not to and its about time we begin to listen.
You signed up just to say that? You wasted your time.
