At 8 to 1 odds of becoming the next US President, Republican Ron Paul must be a happy camper. Too bad the mainstream media hasn't quite picked up on his grass roots popularity just yet though.
But good news has come to the Ron Paul camp. Media sources have been abuzz all day long Monday of the 60 Minutes camera crew arriving at Ron Paul's Washington office early in the morning. Whether there will be a story on Dr. Paul or simply a general segment on the Presidential candidates as a whole remains to be seen.
The Free Market News Network claims that "Media has exploded for Ron Paul since his breakthrough debate with Mike Huckabee over the war in Iraq." This debate occurred just a few days ago but garnered Paul plenty of national attention to be sure.
CNN remains in negotiations for a Ron Paul (R-Tex) debate with Mike Huckabee and negotiations over the candidate's appearance on O'Reilly tonight appear to have been worked out, as Ron Paul's own website announced this morning. O'Reilly's site carries the following: "Showdown Over Iraq: Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul goes head-to-head with Bill." Stay tuned.
Bill O'Reilly's television program is the most popular network news show.
Rumor is there's a Huckabee-Paul debate coming on CNN, Huckabee accepted and Paul's thinking. He'd be a fool to pass on the publicity.
I do remember the days when Constitutional government was a core Republican issue.
[sigh]
Republicans are Communists, you got your parties mixed up.
Awsome performance, wasn't it.
Did he have them arrested for trespassing? Don't tell me he actually spoke with them! How could any Republican be dumb enough to appear on 60 Minutes?
Ross Perot 2008.
That is, a fabrication of the Liberal MSM and Clinton in the hope of splitting the vote.
Well, jeez, if BOR is endorsing Ron Paul, then I’m going to call Fred Thompson and ask for my donation back. It’s just in the bag for Ron now.
What a loon. This guy is as crazy as Osama's Been Rotten.
L.Ron doesn’t seem to know jack squat about the Constitution. He hasn’t even mastered an Emanuel’s outline on the topic.
I suppose civility was too much to ask as well.
Who is Bill O’Reilly and why should I care?/s/
After his deliberate mischaracterization of my beloved FreeRepublic, I cannot watch him anymore.
I can watch Michelle Malkin when she subs for him. If I had my way, Fox would replace that ambulance chaser Greta with a show for Michelle in that time slot.
Hmmmm. Now that’s interesting. At 8 to 1, that’s a 12.5% return on investment, minus the house take. If he gets any better odds I’m in, that’s a very good return.
I’m taking the bet against him, of course.
Emanuels was a life saver........even in ConLaw
That is as civil as it gets.
Hurry up, Triple-E...you’re missing the three-minute hate!
“Like . . . . wow, theyve scored some righteous acid.”
Looks like blotter, or maybe window pane.
“The smear-fest is going on so swimmingly, I almost hate to interrupt. I do remember the days when Constitutional government was a core Republican issue.”
Don’t interrupt the country club republicans while they smear Paul. They’ll go back inside soon to plan another government program that they like...oops, that would be all government programs...what was I thinking?
I guess it's vaguely kind of like debate, only smaller.
What next for the Paulites? Citing Highlights magazine?
The debate is over. The only factor about L.Ron still open to debate is how far gone psychologically he really is.
