Ron Paul 60 Minutes and Bill O'Reilly Appearances Could Slash Odds Further

At 8 to 1 odds of becoming the next US President, Republican Ron Paul must be a happy camper.  Too bad the mainstream media hasn't quite picked up on his grass roots popularity just yet though.

But good news has come to the Ron Paul camp.  Media sources have been abuzz all day long Monday of the 60 Minutes camera crew arriving at Ron Paul's Washington office early in the morning.  Whether there will be a story on Dr. Paul or simply a general segment on the Presidential candidates as a whole remains to be seen.

The Free Market News Network claims that "Media has exploded for Ron Paul since his breakthrough debate with Mike Huckabee over the war in Iraq."  This debate occurred just a few days ago but garnered Paul plenty of national attention to be sure.

CNN remains in negotiations for a Ron Paul (R-Tex) debate with Mike Huckabee and negotiations over the candidate's appearance on O'Reilly tonight appear to have been worked out, as Ron Paul's own website announced this morning. O'Reilly's site carries the following: "Showdown Over Iraq: Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul goes head-to-head with Bill." Stay tuned.

Bill O'Reilly's television program is the most popular network news show.

ROTFLMAO.... Run Paul, Rue Paul... whatever you want to call him and his Paulistinian belt bombers.

He is a midget in stature and intellect and his people are short bus people. Funny stuff.

At 8 to 1 odds of becoming the next US President How do you get 8:1 when polls show him, at best pulling 10%.

I turned O’Reilly off the minute he mentioned Ron Paul.

RP sounded like a whining little girl on O’Reilly. He is toast. I would not waste a vote on this Wally Cox look-alike.

I’m not sure who screwed themselves worse on a TV show recently, Ron Paul or Brittany Spears.

Paul’s blathering on O’Reilly that Iran was acting logically, reasonably and he didn't fear them was downright certifiable in the extreme. So much for improving his odds...

Obviously they haven't seen the interview.

Iran is the foremost agent of terror in the world today and GOOFBALL thinks they are harmless and just misunderstood.

O’Rilly and 60 Minutes both are jokes. Perfect place for Ron Paul to appear.

What next, a Michael savage endorsement to accompany his David Duke support?

Ron Paul said on BOR tonight - "They (referring to Iran) are acting Logically and Defensively".

If he feels this way does he agree with them when Imanutjob has threatened to wipe Israel off the map on several occasions?

If his poll numbers were a stock, I’d short it. He will get zero delegates to the RNC convention and has zero chance of getting nominated.

I heard that. Iran is acting logically, from their perspective, though aggressively rather than defensively. And it’s clear to them that American passivity is bipartisan. One election cycle to wait out.

The left would love nothing more than to see Ron Paul win the Republican nomination. It would be a slaughter in Nov/08.

In the past he's noted that a nuclear Iran would not be a threat to Israel any more than the US since Israel, like the US, has a nuclear deterrent. That makes sense if one assumes there's no ideological aspect to terrorist I suppose. After all, we're all the same.
