GREENVILLE, S.C. - Republican presidential contender Fred Thompson said Monday that while Osama bin Laden needs to be caught and killed, the terrorist mastermind would get the due process of law.

Read the article and find out if you’re so concerned. And stop changing titles.

I guess it depends on what the meaning of “due” is... and what the meaning of “process” is.

For anyone to suggest that we shouldn't squeeze out every last bit of intelligence information has absolutely no understanding how to fight a long term global war on terrorism," spokesman Todd Harris said. "It would be very dangerous for the long-term security of our country to not try to milk bin Laden for every ounce of information he has." Happy to oblige. From the story:
"For anyone to suggest that we shouldn't squeeze out every last bit of intelligence information has absolutely no understanding how to fight a long term global war on terrorism," spokesman Todd Harris said. "It would be very dangerous for the long-term security of our country to not try to milk bin Laden for every ounce of information he has."

How cute of you to only post the first sentence of an almost 20-paragraph article.
Thompson also told reporters removing bin Laden would not end threats to the United States.
I agree with Thompson on this 100%.

If Bin Laden is captured alive — and that is a big if — he would get due process, just as the surviving Nazi were given due process at Nuremberg.
Due process is a hallmark of our civilization.

Due as in (further in the article):
“For anyone to suggest that we shouldn’t squeeze out every last bit of intelligence information has absolutely no understanding how to fight a long term global war on terrorism,” spokesman Todd Harris said. “It would be very dangerous for the long-term security of our country to not try to milk bin Laden for every ounce of information he has.”

Exactly. He dies in combat or evading us fine.
We catch his ass.
We prove our way works better. We show the world the confidence we have in democracy. Always.

I think the troops should be given the order to shoot to kill if we locate Bin Laden. There is no reason in a war to take the chance of escape, hostages killed to try to get his release, heaven forbid, but nuclear threats if he remains in jail for so many years the muzzies get a nuke etc.
Bang. We win a battle. On to the next.

Did you READ your own article? Here's the title that you should have posted: Thompson: Due process for bin Laden. That would be the same "due process" that the detainees at Gitmo receive.
