"Senator Thompsons eight-year record in the U.S. Senate demonstrates an admirable commitment to limited government and free-market principles. His record on entitlement reform and school choice is excellent, while his support for lower taxes and free trade is very good."
What did the Club for Growth, a leading driver of free market reform in the US, have to say about the others? (Here is a quick rundown)

Why do you even care, Fred is going to die before the convention, if he hasn’t already.
Right?

FR spell check sucks worse than I do...
The latest Firefox has a built in spell check that works like you are typing a Word document. With little red underlines on questionable words, and the chance to select alternatives or add it to your dictionary.

Unlikely. However, there is a not insignificant chance that he'll have to resign sometime in the 8 years he's president because of his health.

I do not agree with every position that the CFG takes, but they are one of the best groups out there when it comes to evaluating candidates on the issues of taxes, regulation, spending and a general support for free market principles. I put more stock in their assessments than I do a number of other groups.

Stretched it out a bit there from your original more dire predictions.

I hope they haven’t found you yet after that post. Now that you’ve put 5 and 5 together and made 3, they’re going to come after you! (Congrats on the new baby, btw!)

I thought this was good to know about Fred: “and free trade is very good. On Social Security reform in particular, Thompson courageously supported personal accounts at a time when few politicians were willing to risk their necks taking on the third rail of American politics.”
I remember the debate on personal accounts, I supported them. It was courageous for him to do that then, and still support it now. Fred is a consistent conservative.

Old-Mil just would not have anything to do, if Fred weren’t around to disappoint him.
I saw a slogan on a website of a Fred supporter:
9 out of 10 dogs prefer the crumbs from Fred’s table
I like that, if you’ve got nothing better to do hang around a Fred thread and complain!

Cool. I’ll have to download it. Between fighting fat fingers, lousy typing, bad spelling and dyslexia, I can use all the help I can get.
Now if they just had it for my Damn Treo...

Wow. Good read. A noteable line in this report about
Romney:"His landmark steps in the healthcare arena also exhibit a mixture of desirable pro-free market efforts combined with a regrettable willingness to accept, if not embrace, a massive new regulatory regime.
Well said. The "willingness to accept, if not embrace" is the clincher. I really hope that Fred exhibits a willingness to reject the whole tendency toward "massive new regulatory regimes."
