Stick a Fork in Him! He’s done!

As George Burns might have said: “Say Goodnight Huckabee.”

Huckabee’s a natural leftist trying to win the Republican nomination. Actually, this is getting to be a common pursuit for leftists that aren’t quite radical enough in their liberal views to compete with the Dim’s.

The same media that can not understand why conservatives do not want McCain keep saying this clown is a contender for V.P.

I would have thought that anyone giving consideration to a run for higher office would have considered how the citizens felt about illegal immigration before supporting the “right to vote” for illegal aliens.

Huck’s switch tells me all I need to know about him.

Just another contemptible politician.

Sickening.

I think amnesty can work.

Give them 30 days to get out!

Huckabee: Hispanics Offer U.S. 'Second Chance'

Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Wednesday the nation is being given a chance to make up for past racism by the way it handles the influx of Hispanics.

Huckabee, a Republican who is considering a run for president in 2008, said Arkansas has made progress on racial justice and has a fresh opportunity to do the right thing in the way it welcomes the growing Hispanic population.

Fact #2. As Governor, Mike Huckabee offered a proposal to give state funded scholarships and state benefits to illegal aliens.

So to Heck with the IIRA, eh Huckabee?

From this link...

In-State Tuition for Undocumented Students in Utah

Section 505 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) states that “An alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State…for any postsecondary benefit unless a citizen or nation of the United States is eligible for such a benefit (in no less an amount, duration, and scope) without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident.” Section 401 of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) states that an “alien who is not a qualified alien [i.e., not a lawful permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or aslyee or alien lawfully present in the U.S. under two other laws] is not eligible for any public benefit…” However, supporters of these laws argue that the IIRIRA and the PRWORA do not prevent or prohibit a state from granting in-state tuition to undocumented students.

Guess we know where Huckabee stands, don't we?

He sounded good on the fence, then drifted off into the amnesty is not an amnesty downward sprialing black hole of has been Republican candidates.

I like Mike, but this is unacceptable to me.

These guys are going to have to get with the program or retire. That’s it in a nutshell. I don’t want him anywhere near the White House if he can’t understand this issue.

Arkansas News Bureau | June 30, 2005 | Wesley Brown
Huckabee promotes 'open door' policy at LULAC convention Thursday, Jun 30, 2005 By Wesley Brown Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - In a impassioned speech before hundreds of influential Hispanic civil rights leaders from across the nation, Gov. Mike Huckabee told a captive audience Wednesday that America is great because it has always opened it doors up to people seeking a better way of life. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," Huckabee said, citing the Golden Rule. "I have tried to govern that way and it stands to reason that I really do believe that...

Behind his charade of grins and chuckles, he's just another smooth politician. He believes that once they are here, we should embrace them in every sense of the word.

He'd be disingenuous if he said otherwise. sw

I have respect for Tancredo and agree with the criticism of Huckabee.

However, it does not reflect especially well on Tancredo when his organization issues a news release/campaign statement with an awkward and amateurish lead sentence.

I wonder if Gov Huckabee can truthfully say that he would build a fence and deport the illegals?

I doubt it. Isn’t it amazing that back in the times of Hoover and Eisenhower illegals were deported; probabaly at a fraction of the cost. Of course, today, we have all kinds of techinology at our fingertips. No more lying by our goverment, business, dimwits, etc. This can be done and it will be done.

We Americans can not understand why Mexicans can not clean up their own country? This is the sign of cowards with no backbones.

...When people say illegal immigrants take jobs from Americans, Huckabee said he asks them to name someone “who cannot get a job because a Mexican illegally here has taken the job they want.”

“If that’s the case, if you can get me their name and phone number by five this afternoon, I can have them making a bed, plucking a chicken, tarring a roof or picking a tomato by the morning at 8 o’ clock,” he said.

No one has been able to give him a name, he said. Illegal immigrants have jobs Americans don’t want, he said...

All these guys are no good in my book, they are just trying to trick us: Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Brownback, Huckabee.

I have my doubts about Thompson, too. I need much more convincing on him.

It really boils down to their past actions, comments, voting records and inner circles/contributors--nothing to do with what any of them spin today and for the next four or five months..

If they don't pass the smell test, I say, "Flush Em!"

There is too much at stake.

There is too much to lose.

We cannot afford another 8 years of do-nothing, open borders, compassionate conservatism.

AS A COUNTRY, WE WILL DIE!!

4,000 ID's issued by Mexican consulate; Huckabee lobbied for it
