I just hope he doesn’t turn out to be the Ross Pero of 2008
splitting the party and leaving another criminal Clinton in the WH ~ God Forbid!
And there were the familiar faces from my past (albeit aged, dyed, tucked and toupe'd). There was George Will, using a term like "space," as in, "what does he contribute to this space?" Same guy, updated jargon. How hip, George.
And there was the notorious plagiarer Ms. Roberts, talking about how so-and-so bored her at breakfast and at dinner...Ms. Roberts, you are one clever scoundrel, up there talking like an authority, when anyone else would have been flipping burgers after committing the fraud you did...I wonder what they made you do to keep your place in the mass media....
two and half minutes was enough for me. I had to get back to reality; to the subway, in fact, where the experience is much less of an affront one's dignity.
No, it does NOT mean the snake participated; poor choice of words on my part. It is the chair of his defense committee who also sent correspondence, as did Mary. Sorry for the confusion.
Sift flour into bowl and add pinch salt. Mix in beaten eggs and gradually add the milk and water mixture to consistency of thin pancake mix more a pouring consistency than a drop constituency.
Mix with balloon whisk until all lumps are removed and put to rest for about 20 mins.
Meanwhile ensure that oven temp is about 390F - 400F lower if fan oven, if you have meat in the oven cooking you may need to cover it in foil to ensure that is does not burn or overdo.
Either use a tradition 4 Yorkshire pudding tray or a muffin tin put a little oil into each section and put into the oven to heat the oil about 5 - 10 mins. Pour mixture into each section you will notice the oil come up the sides and into the middle of mixture almost starting to cook before you put it back into the oven.
Bake for about 35 - 45 mins checking after about 30 mins but do not open the oven door before that or they will sink.
I liked him when he was chief minority counsel to the Senate Watergate Committee.
Very close ... Cutler Ridge Mall was decimated, as I’m sure you know ... and the target of frenzied looting for awhile. Miami was pretty ok in the early 70’s .. lived there by the Bay, not far from the old Sears on Biscayne Blvd. for a year, but it’s sure a scary place now, and with the current real estate bubble, full of stopped condo projects, from all I read. But, Miami’s endured those cycles before .. will probably come back in time, as it always has.
I thought Nicole Wallace was a continuing character on Law and Order: Criminal Intent!
So if it were 1939 again the British would never choose Churchill, who was 65 at the time! What a disaster for the world such a failure would have been!
He announced his candidacy 3 days ago AFTER these shows had booked their guests, who were picked mostly on the basis of the upcoming Petraeus report.
I hear what you’re saying but lets take a broader look at it. Frankly, I think the race for 2008 is off to a much too much early start.
So I for one am glad he’s waited. Traditionally, campaigns shouldn’t start until January of the election year. But Howard Dean changed all that by running forever. And he crashed and burned when the actual votes started to be made. Perhaps people got tired of seeing his perpetually campaigning face everywhere.
I guess time will tell as to whether starting early or late is going to make a victory.
[by assuming the fetal position.]
No, repubs in leadership LOVE bending over and having clinton scandals jammed up their collective backsides.
That's good news!
Thanks. That makes more sense—Snake remaining a snake I mean.
Well, he made his big announcement on Leno and then ............Nothing. Where is Fred? I haven’t seen or heard a thing from him yet. Other than the interview on Hannity. I liked very much what I saw of him on Hannity, but now its as if he is a stealth candidate all over again.
No campaign commercials, no interviews on TV. I had high hopes that after Sept 6th Fred would come out of the gate (finally). This does not seem to be the case. For all the Hype I read on here, I still find myself waiting....and waiting...and waiting. At least all the other GOP candidates good or bad have come stepped up to the plate.
Actually, Fred has been quite busy. And he is doing well in the polls. Check out these sites to follow Fred's activities:
You kinda made my point, if you want to find out about Fred Thompson you have to research him. Its almost like looking for a scandal story on the Criminal Democrats. Unless an individual takes the time to actually web search them you will know nothing.
Fred already has a grass roots fan base but eventually, he will have to make his case to ALL the American voters. And the clock is ticking. IMHO the longer he waits the less his chances. I think he blew it by not showing up for the GOP debate Sept 5th. Let me repeat, I like what I’ve seen so far of Fred but I am really growing weary with his back door campaign tactics. ~ ~ Do you have some poll results to share?
That is the case for most of the candidates except for Obama and Hillary. The MSM has devoted twice as much coverage to the Dems as the Reps. How easy is it to find out what Rudy, Mitt, etc, are doing on a daily basis?

The election is more than a year away. Historically, most candidates announced after Labor Day. I don't think Fred blew it by not attending the GOP debate on 9/5. It was hijacked by Ron Paul anyway. Fred is doing it his way. We will see how successful he is, but the fact that he is either first or second in most polls seems to auger well for him. Obviously, his opponents would like to use his unconventional approach against him, echoing many of the things you are saying.
Do you have some poll results to share?
LOL. When you have an opporutunity, check the links I gave you. There are plenty of poll results. If you notice, according to the daily Rasmussen tracking poll, Fred is up by 8 over Rudy.
Well you sure got your mind made up about Fred! Nothing I can say to you can change it, as you certainly haven’t read what I wrote.
Are you being paid for this?
As it is now, you’re begining to have all the aural impact of a stuck record player.
I don’t know who I’m going to vote for in the primaries, but if Fred is the nominee in Nov ‘08, I’ll gladly pencil in his circle.
This is what I meant when I said Fred was like a Ross Pero spoiler. As far as I can see, all he has done is split the GOP base. As to the links you graciously provided, I will check them out now. However, you did not respond to my contention that unlike the other GOP candidates Fred Thompson still seems to be under the radar screen. Meaning, if political junkies like us have to research him for any information how can he get past that and make any impact on the general population?I repeat, the little (very very little) I have seen of Fred Thompson, I am very impressed with. But to date I still don't see him getting above his grassroots supporters. Thank you for the links & I apologize for not checking them out earlier.
