I hear what you’re saying but lets take a broader look at it. Frankly, I think the race for 2008 is off to a much too much early start.

So I for one am glad he’s waited. Traditionally, campaigns shouldn’t start until January of the election year. But Howard Dean changed all that by running forever. And he crashed and burned when the actual votes started to be made. Perhaps people got tired of seeing his perpetually campaigning face everywhere.

I guess time will tell as to whether starting early or late is going to make a victory.

Well, he made his big announcement on Leno and then ............Nothing. Where is Fred? I haven’t seen or heard a thing from him yet. Other than the interview on Hannity. I liked very much what I saw of him on Hannity, but now its as if he is a stealth candidate all over again.
No campaign commercials, no interviews on TV. I had high hopes that after Sept 6th Fred would come out of the gate (finally). This does not seem to be the case. For all the Hype I read on here, I still find myself waiting....and waiting...and waiting. At least all the other GOP candidates good or bad have come stepped up to the plate.
