Rudy Giuliani in an interview yesterday on the Glenn Beck program asserted that illegal immigration is not a crime and should not be a crime! In some of the most stunning words imaginable, Giuliani just confirmed everything opponents of illegal immigration have been saying about him -- that he is soft on illegal aliens. Fred Thompson has asserted that...........

the #1 threat that America faces today which is Islamofacists who want to slaughter us.

The #1 threat that America faces is illegal immigration. The "Islamofacists who want to slaughter us," while a very real threat, pales in comparison.

Very true, and the illegal immigration problem is certainly within our ability to fix, if the Big Government Republicans were willing to take a stand or care, for that matter. Take away the welfare benefits, free health care, schooling and build a fence.

Instead, our so called "leaders" in Congress are beholden to lobbyists and special interest groups, and the race baiting "media".

Rudy doesn’t get it. You’re not supposed to say something like that until AFTER you’re elected.

I missed it. If he truly acknowledged that his support was a mistake then that is great.

I guess I am just tired of republicans claimimg to be conservative but then governing like leftists.

How many “muslims” have entered the USA in the same time as it took for the 20(or 12) million current illegals? How many were asked and how many told “the truth”? I do believe more “muslims” are receiving “welfare” than persons from other religions.

I’d say you are definitely on to something.

Despite arguments over legal vs illegal, which is only political cover for pols, the good ole USA needs to address this problem now. It is up to us to demand this change from our pols. Until shamnesty, they didnt have a clue about our true beliefs about immigration, legal or illegal.

Where’s the fence? Where’s ICE? Thank you to the few pols who decided to implement the cross check between workers and SS’s with a penalty of no tax deductions for the employers of the unmatched.

Another scary thought:

Imagine how many “muslims” would be in the US illegally if they had a common border with the USA?

there have been republicans of this stripe.

for example, richard nixon was a statist:

he intervened in the market with price controls,

as well as other measures.

Rudy may not be the perfect candidate but IMO, he’s the best candidate that will eliminate the #1 threat that America faces today which is Islamofacists who want to slaughter us.

With absolutely no foreign policy experience, no military experience, a long record of violating citizens rights, and a history of appointing incompetent, corrupt administrators (Kerik, Harding, Roberts, etc), do tell how he would be the "best candidate" for anything!

I can assure you the Rudy Brigade is fit to be tied (so to speak) since Fred announced.

They are one mean nasty bunch.

So you are saying that Tancredo’s position on illegal immigration is likewise unacceptable to conservatives because, like Rudy, he has opposed criminalizing illegal presence in the U.S.?

The difference is that Mr. Tancredo didn't say that the illegals were welcome to stay here and that we need them. Rudy Giuliani said both of those things as mayor of New York City. While Mr. Giuliani's statements may be technically correct, they reinforce the image that he earned as someone who is not willing to stop illegal immigration or remove the illegal immigrants who are already here. That position, among many other positions that he has taken, disqualifies Rudy Giuliani from being the Republican nominee for the presidency.

Yeah, cal, don't know whether to laugh or puke, when Rooty and his Rooters start doing the Rooty/WOT routine.

Rooty's been renting his name to the highest bidder ever since 9/11, profiting off the tragedy bigtime.

He actually thinks voters are gonna give him a lease on their WH? He'll never get past the Board of Directors.

We could start a new Tammany Hall.........Rudy could run that.......its in his genes.

The trick being how to take over a country without firing a shot.

With the help of our dumbbell politicians, Mexico is accomplishing this quite easily - it's called COLONIZATION.

So you need military experience to be the President of the US?..sounds like a left wing talking point to me.

To answer your question: He also has a history of successfully reducing crime. He will do whatever it takes to eliminate the threat of Islamofacism and he doesn’t care if the libs whine their heads off about either.
