So you think the families would NOT want us to go after those responsible with all the power we have? If so, you need to join up with Berg and Sheehan.
EXACTLY!!
Sure we need to go after everyone of them. My only point is don’t claim victory until the war is over in Iraq.
I don’t think we really want to know

Oh come on, inflame the hell out of the enemy. They get even crazier then, and make mistakes. Then we kill more of them.
Get it?
I agree with TMLCenter. This is further evidence of command influence on this case. Not only is this unfair to the officers censured for a crime that did not happen, but one can only think the timing of this news release could not have been better planned to influence the outcome of the Art 32 results.
The SecNavy's office appears to have a tin ear. Perhaps all along they have been the source of the mysterious leaks, anonymous quotes, and comments off the record.
Who are these people?
Honestly, who more than the SecNav would worry about the pursestrings held in the hands of Congressman Murtha, the man who needs a Haditha conviction not to look a fool. What has been telegraphed to the SecNav by Murtha? What threats? What promise of underfunding or of intransigence in the funding process?
Or has the SecNav simply reacted in fear of these things? The insidiousness of command influence is that the fear it generates leaves no fingerprints. The SecNav's office reeks of fear.
Therefore, I can never believe these officers to be guilty. It is entirely reasonable to believe they are political sacrifices....reasonable doubt. And it is entirely reasonable to believe that the intrusion into this case by Murtha is bearing its poisoned fruit.
"One of the things I've learned is that sometimes words have consequences you don't intend to mean," he responded, leaning back in his chair in the Roosevelt Room. "The classic example was `bring 'em on.'" - Jan 2005
Thank you, Chaplain — I believe we all agree with that. The only question remains, how do we correct the inequities that are becoming more prevalent every day? I don’t see the Media helping much; they only ‘win’ if Murtha does.
I’m thinking email blasts to every American Legion, DAV, VFA, and AmVets email address that we can find.
We just need the right brief write-up and the right poster to go along with it.
At the end of the day, murtha is a focal point and can never be allowed to walk away.
Keep on truckin', brother, your wisdom is comfort, and your clarity of mind is refreashing.
piss off you Pansy, we are “Kicking ASS!”
Fine, if it means so damn much to you. If you don't like the CIC, just say it, stop pussyfootin' around.
Come clean on this thread to the nature of your true gripe, so I can just ignore you.
VFW in #31..sorry...it’s getting late EST, guys. Probably time to saw logs.
Bump.
Thanks for trying to get people back on track.
This article has little to do with “kick ass” comments Bush has made. It has everything to do with yellow journalism, American troop haters and a president and military with no balls to do what is right.
You need another beer.
Thanks, smooth.
The generals and colonels are part of the team, too. Don’t let the old man down.
It’s a shame that 3-4 decades of dedication to the nation is cut down by propaganda & lies about a single few hours with a single Marine squad that was simply defending itself.
