"Alongside continued weakness in wages, health care and housing, today's disappointing jobs number is only the most recent indication that the Bush Administration's simplistic supply-side economic strategy is not working for working Americans.
"On President Bush's watch, seven million more Americans have joined the ranks of the uninsured, nearly five million people have fallen into poverty, typical household income has fallen nearly $1,000, our national debt has increased 55 percent, and we face a growing crisis in the housing market and a yawning gap between the richest Americans and everyone else.
"For seven long years, the economic hardships facing hardworking middle class families have been invisible to this administration. But the job struggles of these families aren't invisible to me, and when we take back the White House, they will no longer be invisible to the President of the United States."
Failing grade for Chemung National economic study gives F to 31 New York counties.
Note to the nation: Keep voting for 'Rats and RINOs and all this, too, can be yours....
Hillary still thinks she is running against President Bush. Note that she does not say anything about anyone on the Republican side that is running for office.
Out of the mouth of cows!!!!!!!
The BDS platform. This administration, this president, yadda, yadda, yadda. Nobody on the other side ever seems to come up with anything more original than that.
Sad.
They used to call this “talking down the economy” and Democrats used to be outraged by the practice. I wonder what changed ...

She is also against poverty and illness. Not against stupidity.
She has NEVER accomplished anything, except:
Lived in The White House four eight years with a man who lied under oath about having sex multiple times with a young woman his daughter’s age;
Married to a man who might well be a rapist;
Slopped together a universal health care plan so complicated and stupid that it died all by itself;
Got elected to the US Senate because of the above;
Got re-elected because of the above;
Carries more opinions of the Iraqi War than a porcupine has quills;
And she is never, ever incorrect about anything, and never ever remembers anything about bad things that happen in her name.
Mrs. Clinton is utterly perfect.
Dob’t believe it? Ask her.
four s/b for
Hillary, how many of the 7 million were in country in 2001
Inquiring minds wnbat to know
I heard her campaign is offering to help unemployment by seeking a replacement Asian-American fundraiser.
just damn ..
What is “typical household income”? She says that fell by $1,000. But what does that mean? Is she cherry picking obscure statistics to make Bush look bad?
yep, she sounds like she is running against Bush, but Bush will not be her opponent in ‘08.
You could call up her office and ask for citations for the stats, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for an answer :)
Yep, these unemployment numbers are terrible! Just terrible I tell ya...
Hillary, get back on the meds and sit down.
Where do I even begin. A large upstate town called Elmira has gone from boomtown to ghosttown in the past 15 years. The same is true with Binghamton which ever more closely resembles a ghetto. Waverly NY can not keep a business going for more than 12 months, likewise for Utica, Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and on and on. I cant imagine an entire state that is withering the way that upstate New York is.
I used to work on some ad campaigns for NYSEG - the upstate power company. We were trying to get out of state business to relocate to upstate New York. It was like digging for water in the desert.
Cities like Rochester and Buffalo have stagnated or lost people even during the economic boom.
I’ve heard people complain that Hillary campaigned in ‘00 promising that they would promote economic development in upstate New York and bring jobs to the area.
I wish all of us would remember that politicians, even presidents, do not create jobs. Elected officials tinker at the edges, through tax policy or other incentives, to try to influence the decisions of companies to locate in certain places. But that’s all they can do.
