Vigilantes attacked a Beaver County man Tuesday because he allegedly tried to lure two children into his Economy Village home, Ambridge police said.
Police who found the bleeding man, Kenneth Newingham, outside his home later charged him with attempted luring.
The suspect told police he did not know his attackers and no charges have been filed in connection with the beating.
Investigators said Mr. Newingham, 43, had been inviting children to his home since last month. Only once did any of them accept, police said.
On Tuesday evening he tried to lure a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl who did not go inside, police said.

Agreed. I feel good now. (-;
Who know? Maybe it will scare the guy straight.
I’m so full of tears for what happened to thi...
No, I can’t do that much sarcasm.
Sounds like the guy’s cooked, unless of course he’s a Mexican national in the country illegally.
I like this. Local problem, local solution, no government involved, and a happy ending. Win-win solutions so satisfying,,,,
The beating will have no affect on his attempts to lure kids to his home. It will only make him more careful. Too bad they did not beat him up so bad he could no longer walk. These kind of people need to be erased from the population.
Just the father in me talking.
I’ll only worry about this story if someone who beat him is charged and then I will only want to know so I can contribute to their defense fund.
He’s lucky they just beat him badly.
It was bound to come to this. The courts and judicial system have repeatedly failed to protect our children, so now people are taking things into their own hands. No one should applaud, because this is yet another weakening of the rule of law. What needs to be done is REFORM AND STRENGTHEN THE LAWS, and get prosecutors and judges who will enforce them. Are there any state legislators who will stand up and do this? Hello? I’m waiting.
. <—— World’s tiniest violin, right here folks.
For full satisfaction I want to know if it was the fathers of the children in the neighborhood that did the beat down or whether it was the brothers of the children. Or, to really complete the Norman Rockwell portrait, maybe it was a family outing, fathers and sons enjoying some time together.
Perhaps they whispered suggestions to him about what they might do if he continues this behavior.
No one should applaud, because this is yet another weakening of the rule of law.

There was a murder by a man that believed his two year old on a charge that looks false against a neighbor. It was recent. That’s not good. Butttt . . . I’m kind of with the person above that posted the world’s smallest violin. Yah shouldn’t be inviting neighborhood kids into the house if your kids aren’t friends and you don’t know the parents.
That’s how this scum was handled in the past.
Economy Village ?
He’s already dead.
He was bleeding when they found him?
Damn.
That means his heart was still beating.
LOL, that would be a great painting: lanky freckle-faced teenagers in letterman jackets beside white-shirted, crew-cut, thick-glasses dads earnestly pummeling the barely visible bad guy. Aproned moms and pigtailed daughters take a break from putting the sheets on the clothesline to look on smilingly from the background.
