Is that for hand-to-hand fighting?
Stopping power? Hold it under their chin and empty it. Hope you don’t hit their dental work.
What it it?
If you shaved it first... two shots would'a been sufficient.
The main advantage of that model is the tilt barrel which is great for anyone with little wrist strength.
I’d check something like the new Walther PPS though. It’s tiny and 9mm.
For less $ you can have a Keltec .380 at 1/2 the weight and much smaller. Stands to reason that a .380 with good hollow points is much better than any .32 with hollow points. If you don’t get full expansion then they penetrate like full jacket. You shouldn’t go smaller than .380 for self defense and with Keltec you don’t have to. (I own several good bigger handguns but I carry a Keltec EVERYDAY)
Having stated that, you may be interested in Walther's new PPS which isn't a whole lot bigger and at least provides you with the benefit of a 9mm chambering.
Really,
Zero?
So would you be willing to demonstrate on yourself or would you prefer to redact?
It’s comfortable, I sometimes forget I”m wearing it. And you’re right, it doesn’t print. I do use Winchester `silvertips. And I have fired enough rounds through it to have it broken in. I wanted to to get all your opinions on this.
By the way, the feller in the pic has pretty big hands... ;-)
My left hand/arm is partially paralyzed and I've thought about getting a Tomcat for the tip-up barrel. Then again, there's always a revolver...
it might do up close in a punch with Glazers or Corbon (same outfit)
we have a NAM .32 itty pitty full time DA model with Glazers
beats nothing...they make a nice .380 too
for .380....probably a Walther or Sig...stylish Bond style finger pointer (my fav) style close guns
but still....if you expect adversity.....then .357 should be your minimum.
All a .32 will do is make someone angry. If you want something for a carry piece, .45 ACP has a small, double action carry model that fits in the palm of your hand. If you want something more substantial in carrying, Glock makes a .40 and .45 carry piece that fits comfortably on your ankle. Very popular with law enforcement.
All this, however, is secondary to three things:
1. Is the weapon comfortable in your hand? No sense in buying something you are not comfortable with, waste of money.
2. Can you handle it smoothly? From holster to full draw, one solid sweeping motion.
3. The best weapon in the world is a hunk of metal if you can’t shoot it well. Regardless of what you choose, be able to fire it accurately or it is not worth your time.
Hope this helps!
Oh, and MOLON LABE!
At the time I bought the gun I thought there would be more to come. As finances have dwindled so have gun purchases. I need a GOOD argument to warrant a new purchase. I’m hoping to get it here.
A SW snubbie .38 with 150gr HPs is better. I have both, btw.
As effective as the .380? Wow, someone actually thought that was a positive statement? Amazing.
No stopping power. It could, however, shoot your eye out.
I carry the Tomcat-—and I added laser grips, just to make it more fun—LOL!
Also, I have a SW 38 revolver with laser grips that I sometimes switch with the Tomcat to carry. I like them both equally well-—but, of course, have never had to shoot a bad guy (and hope to God I never have to!)
