Democratic party, Ford are keeping cash from fraud figure {Who's Hsu}

NASHVILLE — While some national Democratic figures are getting rid of contributions collected from Norman Hsu, the Tennessee Democratic party and Harold Ford Jr. have no such plans.

Hsu, who a major donor and fundraiser Democratic causes, was jailed last week in California on fraud charges dating back almost 15 years.

The Tennessee Democratic party received $58,000 from Hsu last year — $38,000 to the party’s fund for state campaigns and $20,000 to the party’s fund for federal campaigns. Ford received $14,700 in three contributions during 2005 and 2006.

Other Democrats, including presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have declared they will give the funds they received from Hsu to charity.

But Wade Munday, spokesman for the state Democratic party, said today that the money received last year has already been spent. No action is planned in light of the new revelations about Hsu, he said.

“Those contributions were received, properly disclosed and utilized in the previous election cycle,” Munday said.

Ford, interviewed on a Nashville talk radio show, offered similar comments. He said his Senate campaign account is already closed, in contrast to the active accounts operated by others who are donating funds to charity.

The former congressman said he met Hsu, but the New York-based businessman never asked him for anything or gave any indication of being involved in wrongdoing. He characterized the matter as “a terrible situation.”

fraud charges dating back almost 15 years

2007 minus 15 years = 1992, the year that Clinton started his campaign. Coincidence I am sure.

This story is dead on the vine. Played beautifully by the Dems for Hillary and their willing accomplices at CNNBCBSABC.

Why, there needs to be an investigation. We need an independent counsel. We need to get to the bottom of this culture of Demoncrap corruption. The seriousness of the charges demand it!!!
