All he has to do is look for swimming polar bears, because there will be no ice there.

The artic ice has been frozen solid all the way to the Siberian coast at the Severnaya Islands on the north end of the Kara Sea all summer. There is no way through for a sail boat.

The rest of the arctic north of Russia has had less ice this year but only an idiot would believe this global warming hype without checking it out for themselves.

You might have heard the NorthWest Passage is now open as well. It was open for about a week but all three routes through are now closed off by the sea ice and I’m sure we will hear a few “sailboat stuck” stories from others trying to make it through the NorthWest Passage.

He based his hope on the fact that he believed in the Global Warming propaganda that the arctic is rapidly losing its ice thus making his trip possible.

It's true. You just can not make this stuff up!

Here is a sat picture of the area (lower centre) with sea ice in Red from a few days ago. I don't know why a guy in sail boat would think he can get through.

Great book on ice trapped Arctic mariners in the 19th C becoming polar bear snacks:

The Terror.

Great sea yarn. Mixes fact with conjecture.

Wish I had some way to send it to him. It would give him something to read while he passes the time. ( -;

Reminds me of the Global Warming 101 expedition that had to evacuate team members because of frostbite.

What a dumbass. He probably still believes in global warming and is now blaming it for his predicament.

The frighting thing about this is the effectiveness of the lies the press has planted in the minds of the people. It just shows how weak minded the public is. As I watch the history channel and watch Germany put Hitler into power in the 1930. Also I know that the world will have the third Anti-Christ. I am no longer surprised or wonder how this happens.
