Yep.
This line makes me believe it’s a idiot thing:
“The explosion went off in front of a restaurant owned by Sopranos actor Michael Imperioli.”
You’re welcome Cindy.
You really don’t sleep, do you?
Not much — insomnia.
fake mobster probably complained about the garbage carting service.
Left over cherry bomb, perchance?
“Left over cherry bomb, perchance?”
Nah...NYPD wouldn’t cordone off so many streets if it was just a firecracker.
” This line makes me believe its a idiot thing: “
Probably —
But I remember the OU bombing thread starting with just this kind of ‘innocent’ sounding report......

(for the new members who weren’t there)
I think I am probably all over that thread, I thought it for real
“But I remember the OU bombing thread starting with just this kind of innocent sounding report......”
I remember that too.
Police have opened more streets, but still have 7th through 9th Avenue shut.
” I thought it for real “
I did too — and still do..... (I still get the occasional ‘ping’ from the keepers of that particular list, and there’s been no subsequent developments to change my mind — it was a for-real terrorist attack covered up by the gummint with the collusion of the media)
Another update from the New York Post:
By ED ROBINSON and LARRY CELONA
September 4, 2007 — “A blast believed to have been caused by a pipe bomb rocked a Chelsea street early this morning, police sources and witnesses said.
Nobody was injured.
“It was just a very loud boom, like a lightning storm,” said John Antolik, who works at a hotel near the scene of the 1:15 a.m. blast on 29th Street between 7th and 8th avenues.
“It was so loud, you could hear it from a block away.”
The device that caused the explosion had been left near a red van, in front of an Italian restaurant, police and witnesses said.
The blast sent huge clouds of smoke billowing into the air
“There was a big white cloud. It must have gone to the top of the building, about three or four stories,” Antolik said, adding there were few people on the street at the time.”

Your probably right, this might turn out to be a keg of dry ice
” Another update “
Thanks —
Doesn’t sound too Al Qaeda-ish, does it??
(Of course, one of the postulated alternatives to the “One Big Blast” strategy is a series of coordinated smaller explosives like the London Tube bombings...)
I’m with you on this...I too will await further information before coming to conclusions...
And yet another update...not a restaurant...a theater.

Small device detonated in MidtownOutside ‘Studio Dante’, theater owned by Michael Imperioli
Outside ‘Studio Dante’, theater owned by Michael Imperioli
Eyewitness News
(Midtown-WABC, Sep. 4, 2007) - “Police are investigating an apparent pipe bomb explosion in Midtown. The blast occored outside a small theater, owned by a former star of the ‘Sopranos’.
Police say the device, possibly a pipe bomb, exploded outside 257 West 29th Street just before 1:30 a.m.
The explosion caused minimal damage to the front of Studio Dante, a 60-seat theater created by actor Michael Imperioli and his wife. However, Eyewitness News is told, it blew out a window of a red van parked near the theater.
The sound of the explosion could be heard for blocks.”
” await further information “
FNC, as manifested by F&F (Fluff&Folly) remains, of course, oblivious.....
I’m still depending on you broadband types for information....
