I’m not defending Craig, per se, just questioning what actually happened.  My predisposition is to doubt the accounts being pushed by the press whenever a conservative is accused of something.  I'm cynical about things like that, but it's a cynicism built on being proved right all too often in my doubts.

If he did what he’s accused of it’s incredibly disturbing and simply driving him from office is totally insufficient. However, if he didn’t do what he’s accused of then there is a virtual public lynching going on that is mind boggling.

If he didn’t do it then I see two possibilities, first that it was a misunderstanding brought about by an over zealous cop inclined to see the behavior he expected to see but, if it's not a simple misunderstanding, then it’s a calculated smear and likely a conspiracy of incredible proportions.

And even if he is guilty, I still want to know how the news got out. Who leaked it and to what news organizations? Foley was “guilty” but only contacted the ex-pages once they were adults and did so privately. Homosexual activists pushed their version of events out through cooperative media outlets, aided by the Soros VLWC, just in time for elections. That was the more significant story IMO and spoke volumes about what our enemies will do to achieve their ends. And in large part both incidents seem to be coordinated by homosexual activists of the type who do want to shove their lifestyles into our faces (and into our children’s schools).

I also want to know why now?  Could this have been trotted out in order to distract from any potential coverage of the likely criminal financial shenanigans between Norman Hsu and countless Dhimmicrats, most notably her Thighness?

This isn’t about Larry Craig. Innocent or guilty his effectiveness in office is at an end and he needs to go. This is about the VLWC, their march towards a one party state and the tactics they’ll use to achieve that goal.

I was asked on EC's show yesterday about Craig.

I said that I agreed with Hannity that the officer going after him should have gone all the way and got the evidence he really needed.

What he got was hardly damning enough for a sitting Senator to be replaced had the story not be brought up again out of the blue after Craig was promised it would be over.

Still not defending Craig, if he was a bisexual or gay in hiding that is enough of a lie to all concerned that he should have gone anyway IMHO.

Senator Craig, your post #343 - no matter what actually happened, the Senator made a terrible mistake in judgment by pleading guilty to any one of the charges, especially if he did not consult an attorney or even a political advisor.

Terrible mistake in judgement as in, "Thank the Lord that this guy is only a Senator and not in charge of something important." A lapse that large is an indication that he should have retired at the end of this term, before complete senility became apparent.

Not to mention an investigation into the Idaho Statesman which went beyond harassment.

I just want folks to think about this...

What if he didn’t. These are socialist tactics; It’s about the smear... period.

Craig’s gotta go but they must be exposed.

Why did Gonzo step down (and I have no love for him)?

This was a clear cut separation of powers issue and they gave on it.

(Whatever happened to the leak investigations btw?)

People should compile a list of those who’ve stepped down in the party. We are at war, and the socialists want to play games, move up primaries and skip around the country instead of getting serious with the country’s business.

While spewing propaganda for the enemy.

I agree with you both. There is a VLWC, and there is sexual solicitation going on in public restrooms. If there is any investigating to be done, it should be into the political, financial and sexual background of the cop who made the arrest and the same for his superiors. Lehey wants both Craig and Witter out of the Senate, one for public sexual solicitation and the other for private paid sex. A contradiction as I see it. Anything to try and keep Republicans on the defensive. The one good thing that could come of this highly publicized Craig situation is that those who indulge in such activities will heed the wake up call and get help or move to non public quarters. The public is entitled to safe public accommodations and it is a shame that people who refuse to exercise self control make it necessary for the public funded police to patrol restrooms. This is also a very good time for Republican leaders to remind all their office holders that they cannot expect leniency or mercy for bad behavior.

I totally agree with you about the timing of the publicity about Craig.

It’s like they have a big file of scandals and just pull one out to distract when a scandal comes out on Hillary or some other dem.

On the other hand, sick person that I am, I did listen to the tape of his conversation with the policeman and it was way creepy.

Foley did not do anything wrong, if you proclaim, as the dems do, that homosexuality is not wrong.

He had his eye on some young men, but was careful to wait until they were ‘of age’ to approach them. He certainly didn’t rape them or use his power to seduce them.

He wasn’t nearly as bad as Clinton, but then, who is (sexually).

I’m sure Clinton is still ‘doing it’ because men get worse with age and I’m sure he is bored and has time on his hands (and girls in his arms)
