LOL. I was expecting this. There is a guy from The Nation on C-Span who is defending NAFTA and the Super Highway (an issue that seems to lead to all sorts of theories).
Sure enough, he gets a call from a guy who is a Nation reader who is just furious that he appears to be pro-corporate America.
There seems to be some dispute over whether there will or will not be such a highway. (I haven’t paid attention to this so I have no idea.)
LOL what area in the UK do you like have your ever visited the south east?
Hell why don’t they throw in the home owner’s insurance as well?
LOL. Another C-Span caller who says if The Nation is telling me I don’t have anything to worry about with this Super Highway, I know I have something to be worried about.
" I am not gay!"
I believe you Senator. Now, lets just try a little experiment. I'll show you some photos, and you tell me if they excite you, OK? Here is the first photo. Anything?
" Look - I am not gay. I am not gay!"
OK, we'll try again. How about this one?
" I don't cruise for sex. Look, I told you, I am not gay!"
"Hmmm....flat line. OK, one more....
That’s great stuff.
To think that you could go straight for deportation of the whole family without the first stage on the statute books looks like a proposal to appeal to a certain faction of the population knowing full well it can never pass.
In Britain providing the 2 government departments talk to each other and pass names over (home office now justice department and immigration) foreign workers who serve a jail service are deported at the the end of their jail time.
Very well said, Snugs. PLEASE post yourself an award of the highest caliber!
I have gotten to the point where the sound of the MTP music makes me mildly ill.
Quel surprise! Timmy starts off with Larry Craig and they are all going to yuk it up.
Looks like I was wrong on the ignoring of the Texas Straw Poll. Fox News Sunday just mentioned it in passing— then of course threw their little barb in about how “none of the big names attended.”
You mean Katie Couric wasn't there?!
Thank you
I vote for "C", None Of The Above...
We are 5 minutes into MTP and they are still yuking it up about Craig.
Wallace starts off with Larry Craig as well, Leahy immediately goes into “there is a double standard” since Vitter is staying and Craig goes. ONLY because of the political position of the Governor’s. Leahy is slime, Wallace is pretty useless. He should have at least brought up Teddy, the swimmer, having committed and plead guilty to a crime, but he has been elected/reelected again and again and again.
Typical double standard.
Spector says neither should resign and he hopes Craig fights this in court and gets the verdict overturned.
Speaking of awards... where are last week’s?
Leahy is worried that Vitter (R-LA) didn’t get kicked out of the Senate for his hiring prostitutes, etc.
Leahy implies that this creates a double standard.
Specter says neither should resign and Craig should fight this case. Specter says Craig has only issued an ‘intent to resign’; Craig should resend the ‘intent’ and fight for his Senate position; that if he took it to court, he could possibly be vindicated.
Oh, good, Matlin mentions that Hillary has a Johnny Chung redux problem.
