The Birth of al Qaedastan

In the year 2016, the world may find itself gloomily marking September 6 as the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Islamic Emirate of Waziristan. The Emirate received de facto recognition when the Taliban used the name on the ceasefire agreement they signed with Pakistan on that day in 2006. If things go terribly wrong in the coming decade, they could come to rule a mountainous fragment of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Emirate would be a nightmare state: Osama bin Laden as sultan, Ayman al Zawahiri as vizier, and Mullah Omar the spiritual leader. An economy built on smuggling and heroin. Primary export: terrorism. Welcome to ‘Al Qaedastan’.

Analysts say the rise of a terrorist state straddling the rugged area between Pakistan and Afghanistan is now viable. The reason is a number of troubling trends. One, the revival of a Taliban firmly in the control of Al Qaeda. Two, the seeming inability of either Kabul or Islamabad to defeat the new threat militarily. FBI Puts Local Officials on Notice About Extremists Trying to Sign Up to Be School Bus Drivers

WASHINGTON — The FBI has issued an “informational bulletin” to state and local officials saying to watch out for people tied to extremist groups trying to earn licenses to drive school buses.

The Associated Press reports that members of the unnamed extremist groups have succeeded in gaining the drivers licenses, but a Department of Homeland Security official told FOX News that “at this time there is no evidence that any of these individuals have got these jobs, or got hold of school buses.”

“There is no plot. There is no threat. And parents and children can feel perfectly safe,” FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told FOXNews.com.”....cont.

They may very well be onto something here, IMO.

Hmmm.. school bus numbers coupled with the theft of the buses in Houston..

Hopefully the authorities will be on their toes in Houston around the schools, watching for these rogue buses.

Probably a good idea to check train schedules, keep watch on those ferrys and keep a sharp eye out for school buses that don’t belong in a given area.

This summer when my daughter went to church camp in Tennessee the local Branson area Bus they Chartered dropped them off at came. Another bus was suppose to come pick them up at the end of the week and the bus never showed up. They had to send
another bus from Branson to Memphis to get them. They never
found the other bus.

That is the problem, school buses belong at school.

The school busses may not be for the schools but used as a cover for bombs in them. How many school field trips are there in important places like the capitol and the United Nations and such. A fake call from someone that they represent a school and they want a tour the buss drives up and kaboom. Remember he supposedly sent 12 year olds for this mission. Just a thought

SACRAMENTO — Hamid Hayat, the Lodi man convicted last year of providing material support to terrorists and lying to the FBI, was sentenced today in federal court to 24 years in prison.

Jurors convicted Pakistani American, who was born in Stockton, based on evidence presented by prosecutors that he had attended a terrorist training camp in Pakistan in 2003, come back to the United States to commit violent jihad against Americans, and then lied to federal agents.

His conviction in April 2006 came after a nine-week trial that hinged on a confession that he later contested and on secretly taped conversations with an FBI informant.

His father, Umer Hayat, an ice cream truck driver, was also charged — with lying to the FBI about whether his son had attended a training camp and whether he knew about such camps — but the jury considering the charges against him deadlocked, and the judge declared a mistrial.
