The mystery of Norman Hsu deepens today with a New York Times report on his collapsing cover stories. While the Gray Lady tries to focus on the sudden retreat of Democrats from a man who has raised almost a million dollars for them, the real story comes in the second half of the article -- in which Hsu appears to be a front:
People who met him said they knew only that he ran an apparel business. Efforts to learn more about his trade hit dead-ends yesterday. Visits to companies at addresses listed by Mr. Hsu on campaign finance records provided little information. There were no offices in buildings in New Yorks garment district whose addresses were given for businesses with names like Components Ltd., Cool Planets, Next Components, Coopgors Ltd., NBT and Because Mens clothing all listed by Mr. Hsu in federal filings at different times.

Holy smoke.
Background info.
Bing bing bing! We have a winner!
Look for Mr. Hsu to disappear, only to show up in China after the subpoenas are issued.
Andrew Cuomo, NYS’s new AG, also got some of Hsu’s money, too...
The US clothing industry has been imploding for years. So how did this guy get rich?
THANK YOU! From the moment this story broke, I’ve been asking, “Where does all this money come from and what is he asking for in return?” Stupid freakin media can’t find their asses — or simply don’t want to ask the questions.
He’s already there. They’ve interviewed him in Hong Kong.
That money says Made in China on it. Wonder if has heavy lead levels?
I spent considerable time Googling every company referred to by Hsu, and could find exactly nothing. No addresses, no products, no customers, no suppliers, nothing.
Nobody with a real business is that invisible, methinks.
(Do we have a corrupt democrat ping list/campaign finance breakdown ping list/voter fraud ping list?
Oh wait - That’s right: They’re all just a copy of the dnc donation list ...
Yes, Elliot “Wallkill PD a danger to community, but we’ll give ‘em a wristslap” Spitzer.
OUTSTANDING post! Thank you Ed Morrissey!
Ping.
Check this out.
(Spitz got some cash from this guy.)
“Hsu himself is a convicted con man, but the money he threw around was very real. Where did it come from, and what was its purpose?”
Instead of giving the money to a charity who will just contribute the money back to Hillary’s campaign, the money should be used to compensate the victims of this con-man. That’s probably where it came from anyway.
bump
The Red Chinese love those dummies!
It should tell the American electorate something about the Dim’s, but they never seem to catch on.
Hillary Answers Hsu Questions, Spitzer Helps
What a suck-up.
Will we soon hear of a faked "suicide" ?
("mr. shu was extremely distraught over his violation of the american campaign contribution laws")? /SARC
