Conservatives DUMP Senator Larry Craig, for sticking fingers under a bathroom stall wall.

Posted on 08/30/2007 7:50:09 PM PDT by pacificus

I read the transcript of the Larry Graig interview with the Minnesota police.

I don't like what I'm hearing from other conservatives. The liberals see a cheap Senate seat and you want to give it to them because a guy moved two fingers under the stall wall in an airport bathroom.

If they had the guy on tape asking for sex, paying for sex, or photographed in the act, or any other physical proof, then I would say that looks very very bad and he should go.

But that is not the case.

This is very lame, and those of you who have never had a disagreement with a law enforecement officer should hope that a cop never accuses you of something. Because by your own action, your professional career, and or political career, should be forit, merely on the word of the officer with no physical proof or corroborating evidence.

Those of you who pass judgement, on Larry Craig, merely on the heresay and liberal spin that has been run in the press, should be ashamed.

Maybe Craig thought it was a PRIVATE BATHHOUSE.

I literally have to be in pain before I will even sit on a public toilet and take a dump. I can't imagine anyone who would want to have sex in a public bathroom, and with a total stranger, and with a MAN. Barf!

Words cannot express how grossed out I am by this guy.

Is there anyone on this thread who would voluntarily shake his hand and then sit down and eat a sandwich?

Larry Craig is one of the best Conservative Senators we have

You are correct. Despite the litmus-test voters who don't like him for his immigration views, Craig has voted consistently time and time again for conservatives...for decades.

CNN is in ecstacy at their success in getting conservatives to hate him now.

If we don't get rid of degenerates - all of them TODAY I say - we will forever be held hostage to the rats outing them right before a critical election, e.g. Foley.

You are absolutely right! The Foley scandal broke, what? 10 months ago? Folks around here seem to have already forgotten about it. That scandal and the leadership's reaction is what cost us the House and Senate...not Bush, not the war, not anything other than a sense that the GOP had become as sleazy as the 'rats so why support them.

Craig did a sleazy, disgusting thing and pled guilty in court. I'll wager it wasn't the first time he went on a fairy safari in a men's room. He's from a red state with a solidly conservative Republican Governor who can appoint a conservative Republican replacement. If Craig has any honor he should resign NOW and let a replacement be appointed and let this disgusting story die.

He saw the “men” sign and thought that was where they were being kept.

Washington Times lead for Friday...

Pressure builds on Craig to resign

~excerpt~

Mr. Craig's statewide approval rating dropped to 34 percent in the automated telephone survey of 600 adults.

His approval numbers had ranged from 71 percent to 81 percent among Republican voters in 19 consecutive monthly surveys, but his rating dropped to 46 percent this week, the poll showed.

Among voters familiar with the scandal, 55 percent said Mr. Craig should step down and 34 percent said he should stay in office, according to the survey.

Did you not get the point, little one?

Yes I do get it, too bad you don't. The point is Craig is a political liability, and it is expediant to dispose of him as quickly as possible.

Everyone needs to understand that much negotiation occurs with regard to charges and pleas. The fact that Craig pleaded guilty to a charge seemingly unrelated to lewd conduct does not mean he was not behaving lewdly.

Anyone who believes that Craig did not intend to solicit but just accidentally gave off those signals must have believed Bill Clinton when he argued about the definition of "is." :)

Nope. He said he saw him peeking through the crack. He stood there looking before he sat in the adjoining stall. He saw his hand under the stall after Craig sat in the adjoining stall and tapped his foot, moved his foot under the stall partition and touched the cops shoe with his foot.

I don’t think the damage is survivable, and he’s got to go.

It's not, he's done.

He had guilt written all over him in the interview. That was not the voice of an innocent individual, being accused of a lewd act. Then he signs the plea of guilt.

He might as well put a political gun to his head.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, these actions have ended his political career.

To be honest, looking back to his responses, I am surprised this guy is in the position he's in.

I say let the people of Idaho decide if he goes - not McPain , the MSM , or the other filthy backstabbing RINO’s .

Craig has served the Conservative cause well , and has been at the forefront of defending the Second Amendment like no other .

This timing of this was very carefully orchestrated , and will not go away until Hitlary’s money scandal is completely buried .

Did he plead guilty to solicitation , as you infer ?

That is what he was charged with. He pled guilty to a lesser charge, but the inference is that he was, in fact, guilty of the crime that was charged.

The guy is a pervert. Just listen to the interview with the police. He was trolling for a fudge-packer.

He should NOT be forced to resign his seat prior to Jan. 2009 unless it is PROVEN that he lied and covered up criminal sexual actions.

He pled guilty! He needs to go now his presence in the Senate pollutes the atmosphere in the GOP Caucus. His behaviour may be tolerated by the 'Rats but not by our side.

I know what he pleaded..I just saying what lawyers have said on TV today that “There’s not a Judge or jury that would convict him on this evidence.”

In that case he is too stupid to be Senator.

Two fingers under a bathroom stall occupied by another man?

Well it is the international signal for gay sex, right?

Where do you see resisting arrest as a charge in any of the court documents?

If you read the documents, Craig resisted the officer several times. That makes a lot more sense at fitting into the "disorderly conduct" charge which he denied over and over again in the transcript.

Obviously, I don't know that Craig is innocent. But I'm not going to join the usual knee-jerk bandwagon on such flimsy information so far.

Smells of the usual DNC-MSM diabolical techniques which work so well and I've seen so often in the past.

Thank you . It’s disgusting what they are doing to Craig and half of our side is joining in on it ....

The times and stakes have changed dramatically and it’s apparent our side will never learn .
