I understand what you are saying, however, smoking bans should be left up to the private bar/restaurant owner. Too many businesses have gone out of business due to the nannys. Once the smokers have been successfully defeated and outed, the same nannys will go after beer and liquor sales...........

Nonsense. States can and should ban smoking if their citizens believe it to be a nuisance that should be regulated. Poll after poll, and vote after vote show that conservatives believe in regulating cigarettes.

In virtually every community that has left smoking bans up to the electorate, those who did not care one way or the other never voted, and the only ones who did vote the nazi way only totaled approximately of 24% of the population but because they outnumberd the opposition, they won the day. No, they are not. They are private places of public accomodation, which is a VERY different thing.
