This is a definite strike against this candidate for me. This is one position Huckabee should definitely reconsider.

Smoking bans need to remain the province of state and local government. The federal government has no business enacting a nationwide ban on smoking other than at federal buildings and installations.
How about national mandatory drug-testing for all political officeholders? By the way did they ever find Shandra Levy?...

Up to now, I had seen him as a second tier candidate, who was an adult with some potentially good ideas. Now is see why he is a second tier candidate. He’s an empty suit who will go for any sound bite that that will get him attention. Clintoon Politician.

Sorry, Huck, this is one federal power I cannot find in my handy-dandy Constitution.

We have it here in Ohio. It’s not a happy place anymore. We even have signs posted at EVERY public facility with a phone number to the State for reporting your fellow citizen.

Go the Ohio Department of Health’s website and read the law. If a person goes to the underground parking garage of the building that I work in and has a cigarette, the building could be fined, the company you work for in that building can be fined, you can be fined, and you can lose your job. This is SERIOUS, SERIOUS stuff, folks.

My husband and I went into the next state over (Pennsylvania) yesterday. My husband was able to have a cigar with his drink. You don’t know what a pleasure that was for him. And he only has about 6 cigars a year.
PLUS — in Ohio, PUBLIC CLUBS ARE ILLEGAL! No smoking ANYWHERE IN THE STATE. The vets can’t even smoke in their own WVF halls.
Correction — VFW Halls.
I support a smoking ban but it’s really a state matter.
I don’t care what Huckabee has accomplished, we don’t need anymore Presidents from Arkansas for quite some time.
The super high taxed smoker’s (20 percent)will not vote for you.!!!!!!!..............
