If they don't like that their turbans to be touched, tell them to get on the belt with the hand luggage and go through.

Can someone please tell me what’s wrong with racial profiling?

If I have to take off my shoes, jacket and belt and go through security with my little one quart bag of toiletries clearly visible, these folks can remove their turbans or whatever else they are asked to. Security is a royal pain in the backside, but it’s a necessary evil now. We all have to go through it because -— guess what? There are people in the world out to destroy us and they will use whatever means necessary (even carrying bombs in shoes) to do so. No one should demand special treatment or exemption. In case these folks didn’t know, it’s for their protection too.

When I can’t even take a bottle or water through security, then they can have their turban checked. If they don’t like it, then don’t have to fly.

It’s not just a Turban with a Sikh. That whole thing is crammed full of HAIR! It is very time consuming and tedious to unravel that hair and turban wrap. I worked with a Sikh. He came in to work one Saturday dressed casually and he had hair all the way to the floor!........And I didn’t recognize him!..........

It certainly isn't racial profiling. Anyone wearing a hat should expect to have it searched. Doesn't matter whether the hat is worn as a fashion statement or a religious requirement.

I visited our local convenience store that’s owned and operated by Sikhs. Talked w/the cashier. He wears a turban but his twin brother chooses not to wear one, and pointed him out to me in the store. After talking with the cashier, it appears to be a matter of choice. Being that, TSA has every right to check the turban. Besides, OBL wears one. Let’s hope that airport security would catch him by examining every turban.

How can it be racial profiling if they treat anyone wearing any sort of hat the same way?

It’s just freakin’ stupid victimology, is what it is!

They won't let us take our guns and knives on board.
Yeh, I know, it doesn't cover the suicide bombers, but still.

As a redneck, I was deeply offended when I went through security at the airport recently and was forced to remove my NASCAR ball cap. When will the bigotry end?

Instead of taking off the turbin, we could use the ol’ taliban method, and just saw the head off.

If airport security can check a woman’s bra ... then they should be able to check a turban. I don’t care WHO is wearing the turban. These groups are going to have to be understanding about these things.

OR tell them to go to a country that doesn't do hat checks.

I don't particularly enjoy removing my shoes when going through airport security either, but it could save my life.

Why not complain to their Islamic terrorist friends? They caused the inconvenience.

A Sikh turban also contains a “ceremonial” knife.

Okay students of history. How did Vlad Tspesh deal with the Muslim emissaries that would not remove their turbans in his presence?
