Conservative Republicans Have Only One Choice In 2008
American Chronicle ^ | August 30, 2007 | Chuck Baldwin (moderator note: Constitution Party VP candidate)

Posted on 08/30/2007 7:51:17 AM PDT by rface

Let's cut to the chase: conservative Republicans have only one choice for President in 2008: Congressman Ron Paul of Texas. Unlike the GOP frontrunners, Paul is the real deal.

No real conservative could support Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Fred Thompson, or Newt Gingrich. When it comes to historic conservative principles, each of these men is as phony as a three dollar bill. That they are now attempting to cast themselves as conservatives is more than laughable: it is downright hilarious.

[ snip ]

If one wants a true photograph of how a congressman or senator votes on conservative, constitutional issues, the best place to look is the Freedom Index in the New American Magazine. Ron Paul almost always ranks as the most conservative congressman from either chamber or either party. His current ranking is 100%, which is a score that few congressmen or senators, except Ron Paul, ever achieve. And Paul does it routinely.

See the Freedom Index here: http://www.jbs.org/files/fi-110-1.pdf

[ snip ]

Ron Paul said these words, "I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed by a loving Creator."

Could conservative Christians ask for a testimony that is any clearer?

Should Ron Paul win the Republican nomination, he would almost certainly win the general election. His constitutional, common-sense ideals would be attractive to such a broad range of voters, I dare say that he would win a landslide victory, no matter who the Democrats nominated. Conservatives, independents, libertarians, union members, and even some liberals (mostly those who oppose the war in Iraq and Bush's Big Brother schemes) would support Ron Paul. The challenge is winning the Republican nomination.

Conservative Republicans have only one choice for President in 2008: Ron Paul.

‘Ron Paul’s campaign theme song is “Shrimp boats are coming”.’

To the tune of ‘The train kept a’rollin all night long’ by Aerosmith.

Here I fixed it for you:

Ron Paul will defeat Hillary Clinton

Ron Paul will be the Republican Nominee.

Ron Paul will have a landslide.

Ron Paul is a serious candidate in every way, shape, and/or form.

Ron Paul, is acceptable domestically and his foreign policy stances are essential to the existence of the United States.

Real Conservatives will look at the only choice available and choose a nominee, who can (a) kill bin laden, (b) defend our borders, abolish the IRS and other useless government agencies, restore the 2nd amendment, appoint conservative judges, and (c) move the conservative agenda forward on all issues.

Ron Paul is that man.

That joke wasn't even funny the first time you used it.

This entire thread, from 1 to 50 is worth a bowl of tripe.

Care to elaborate a little on what specifically is tripe.

If I want my wife and daughters forced to wear burkas, all of us forced to give up our freedoms and convert to Islam and forced to kneel and pray to Allah or beheaded, I will vote for Ron Paul. Since I understand the threat to us and the real dangers of retreating and surrendering in Iraq to al Qaeda, I WILL NEVER vote for the blame America first, we deserved 9/11, flag waving, surrender monkey Ron Paul.

I'll second this ...

Finally you say something that is true.

Fred Thompson can’t beat Hillary. You are dreaming.

Hillary has astronomical negatives that never go below 40%.

To win, she would require over 80% of the remaining vote.

The only way that can happen is with a third-party conservative candidate to split the conservative vote, ala Ross Perot.

PS - Perot never intended to win either time he ran. His sole purpose was to aid and abet Clinton, Inc.

Ron Paul has a totally asinine view of foreign relations and the war on terror.
He’s not on my list of “will not vote for him under any circumstances” like Rudy and McInsane, but I won’t vote for him in the Primary.
Duncan Hunter is the best candidate for conservatives. He might not win the Primary, but no one ever told me life would be fair.
Failing Hunter, I can live with Thompson, Romney and even Ron Paul.

WHEN will thise Ron Paul kooks go away!

Ronpaul is just a cartoon character now. He has no place with any of the substantive candidates. A useful idiot promoted by people who were never going to vote anyways.

Finally you say something that is true.

Now all you have to do is face reality instead of those absurd straw polls, online polls, ad nauseum and understand that not only is Ron Paul not going to be President, he is not even going to get the nomination.
