Let's cut to the chase: conservative Republicans have only one choice for President in 2008: Congressman Ron Paul of Texas. Unlike the GOP frontrunners, Paul is the real deal.
No real conservative could support Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Fred Thompson, or Newt Gingrich. When it comes to historic conservative principles, each of these men is as phony as a three dollar bill. That they are now attempting to cast themselves as conservatives is more than laughable: it is downright hilarious.

If one wants a true photograph of how a congressman or senator votes on conservative, constitutional issues, the best place to look is the Freedom Index in the New American Magazine. Ron Paul almost always ranks as the most conservative congressman from either chamber or either party. His current ranking is 100%, which is a score that few congressmen or senators, except Ron Paul, ever achieve. And Paul does it routinely.
See the Freedom Index here: http://www.jbs.org/files/fi-110-1.pdf

Ron Paul said these words, "I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed by a loving Creator."
Could conservative Christians ask for a testimony that is any clearer?
Should Ron Paul win the Republican nomination, he would almost certainly win the general election. His constitutional, common-sense ideals would be attractive to such a broad range of voters, I dare say that he would win a landslide victory, no matter who the Democrats nominated. Conservatives, independents, libertarians, union members, and even some liberals (mostly those who oppose the war in Iraq and Bush's Big Brother schemes) would support Ron Paul. The challenge is winning the Republican nomination.
Conservative Republicans have only one choice for President in 2008: Ron Paul.
Why is the Constitution Party so anti-war when it comes to foreign policy issues? They are very conservative on all of the other issues, and their anti-war position is the Achilles Heel of the Constitution Party.
Billbears: Not bad enough that you support an enemy of the United States for POTUS in the GOP contest, no less, but now you are also in favor of continuing "legalized" abortion since neither California nor New York nor a number of other babykilling states will ever voluntarily give up babykilling. The protection of innocent human life will have to be crammed down their throats as they crammed Roe vs. Wade down the throats of our nation.
Ancestor worship of the founders as though they were gods on earth (and clairvoyant gods at that who foresaw Roe vs. Wade and Al Qaeda but just did not care) does not qualify anyone as a conservative.
Nor does preservation of as much babykilling as can be preserved.
Nor does supporting the apologist of the Sharia Law crowd.
Nor does supporting the two-faced "fiscally conservative" king of shrimpin' pork earmarks who demanded their inclusion for other Congressmen to enact while Mr. paleofussbudget poses for holy pictures by voting against the bill containing all of his own earmarks. He makes John Kerry look honest and even a smidgeon patriotic. Well, not patriotic.
Paleowhateverism is, was and always will be a rank fraud to the extent that it purports to have anything whatsoever to do with actual conservatism as you guys are surely about to find out in spades when the caucuses, primaries and actual voting convenes. Tick, tick, tick....and Dr. Demento's fifteen minutes are up.
Each individual slaughtered baby is infinitely more valuable than any and all paleo fussiness over their Dr. Demento views of the constitution. AND, BTW, the 14th Amendment (part of the constitution in case you may not have heard) fully justifies Congressional action to wipe out abortion nationally and, to the extent necessary, overrides any paleo fussiness based on the noble Tenth Amendment which seems to be noticed nowadays only by abortion defenders, intentional or otherwise.
Conservatives will “fix it for you” Paulistinians when real voting starts and the antiAmerican antiwar left have to vote in their own party’s contests. It is going to be soooooo sweet to see surrendercrat paleoPaulie and his buddies crushed. Tick, tick, tick....
Ron Paul will defeat Hillary Clinton
Ron Paul will be the Republican Nominee.
Ron Paul will have a landslide.
Ron Paul is a serious candidate in every way, shape, and/or form.
Ron Paul, is acceptable domestically and his foreign policy stances are essential to the existence of the United States.
Real Conservatives will look at the only choice available and choose a nominee, who can (a) kill bin laden, (b) defend our borders, abolish the IRS and other useless government agencies, restore the 2nd amendment, appoint conservative judges, and (c) move the conservative agenda forward on all issues.
Ron Paul is that man.
What are you smoking???
Thank you, you reply is better than mine.
LOL! And the Constitution party and Libertarian Party wonder why they have such trouble getting traction when Republicans implode. Here the Constitution Party stumps for him, and Paul is an admitted Libertarian in GOP clothing only.
Small government is great, but so is sanity. And unlike Paul, I don’t believe my government would stage an attack to gin up support for the war. Their too incompetant to do so even if they wanted to.
You shouldn’t mumble so much, it’s hard to understand.
you = your
And I previewed it too! :(
Yet another 'conservative' that ignores federalism to get your way. Tell me, do you wear kneepads when you bow to Washington daily? James Madison was clear on the intent of the Constitution. Of course you don't give a flip about intent. It's always a good reminder to realize how many social 'conservatives' believe the document is 'living and breathing' like their liberal counterparts. It means what we says it means to suit our needs right?
I won't bother with the rest as it's your usual drivel.
“Ron seems to be the consensus choice of all the nut cases on shortwave radio.”
And the internet, and the republican straw polls.
************
Me, too. I'm going to continue with that strategy.
“you = your
And I previewed it too! :(”
posting to yourself is a sign of insecurity.
Yeah, as long as we define conservative as “unwilling or afraid to fight the war against radical Islam.”
We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their CREATOR, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.--
Ron Paul and his band of misfit toys need to head on to the house.
Iran is shelling Iraq...

Yeah, let us pull on out so those nuts can have more room to grow, train, build rockets and reactors....
That would be an award winning foriegn policy that will damn sure take care of 21st Century threats.
Avast ye! Send in us pirates to do the job me hardy...
Damn, just damn....
Momma was right, stupid is what stupid does...
Ping! I thought I’d save you the trouble, Allegra, since I know you’re in transit...soft gentle flapping of moonbat wings? I may be able to step in and post some “rebounds” in your short absence...You’ve taught me well...
Love,
Little Sis
Are you a man, woman or Ewok? :-)
I’d argue about how much of our history has been extra constitutional, all the way back to Jefferson himself, but I have learned that for some that’s a waste of time.
When you convince America to dump interstates, the FAA, the CDC, NASA, etc. get back to me.
And...
Aw hell never mind...
RP is toast...
Again...
Like in 88 when he ran because he was not happy with Reagan...
