TORONTO (CP) - Canadians can expect near normal temperatures and precipitation as the days get shorter and the kids go back to school.
The Weather Network's fall forecast says it expects slightly below temperatures for most of the country in the upcoming months.
It says summer began with above normal temperatures, but by August temperatures dropped slightly, balancing out values to near normal from coast to coast.
Looking ahead, the Weather Network says the current near normal temperature trend should continue into the start of fall.
Meteorologist Jose Varela is then calling for slightly below normal temperatures for most of the country.
Precipitation will also be near seasonal, with the exception of most of Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan, where below normal rainfall is expected.
They keep promising us that we are going to get global warming. No such luck.
Al Gore has promised it. He has made special trips to Canada to make speeches forecasting it. I deserve it and I won't be denied it.
I need a break on my heating bills.

Just like liberals all over. Promise you global warming and then don’t deliver.........
IMG! It’s global climate staying-the-same!
Don’t worry Clive.
They promised me a hotter and drier summer, and it was cold and rainy, so this forecast means it will be warmer and drier than usual this fall.
;-)
I think we should call it global climate stagnation. That sounds ominous enough.
He came to NY to talk about it, too. It was a blizzard on that day.
What a dork.
That can only mean one thing ...
We are DOOMED!!!
The sky is falling! Oh woe be we!
But global warming was speeding up. Now we are getting normal temps and rain for this year. That can only mean one thing. Global cooling is now happening. And it the fault of George W. Bush and Karl Rove.
The idea is that the Earth will have cycles of hotter and cooler periods of weather, balancing out the avg temperature, precipitation, and storms over 500 years...
Not sure how to make money off it yet, but I'm trying.
What did they know and when did they know it?
You'll just have to settle for higher taxes.
That they always promise and deliver on.
TWN is usually quite accurate too...
