Over the years, I have thought about getting a tattoo. Surprising considering my fear of needles! lol I see them everywhere on every classs of person, I see the artwork vary from onr body to another. What causes someone to decide to have a tattoo. Is it cultural? Is it a fad? I am seriously thinking about it now. Any stories, suggestions? Thank you!
Show the world that your self-esteem depends on what some low-life crack addict can convince you to buy.
Sounds like a deal to me.
If you want to show the world your individuality, why not try working on your brain rather than your body.
I got a tattoo on a dare 10 years ago. I had always really wanted to get one, anyway. It’s a blue, yellow and white butterfly which I designed myself, and it’s on my lower left abdomen.
My thoughts are that if somebody is thinking about getting a tattoo, be sure you want it, because they’re hard to get removed.
that’s a tramp stamp. beat you to it!
A pretty woman is like a work of art. A tattoo is graffiti that covers it.
Bad idea.
Waste of money.
Not good for future client, patient, boss, friends relations ...
Do something temporary : like orange hair that can grow out later.
You may want to consider that.
I recommend a laughing skull with glowing red eyes, surrounded by fire.
The best thing about the skull is you can always “add to it” later. Start with the skull. Later you get a skeleton attached. Then add a scythe in its hands. Maybe a pair of chaps.
Amazingly, the drawing of the outline hurt more than the coloring in, even though the coloring is going back and forth over and over.
OHHH....I like that.....I’m going to steal that to use on my nieces/nephew....
Oh god no.
I am surrounded by them myself.
I would say the majority of my peers have them.
Unfortunately, I haven’t even been able to find a girlfriend without at least one since 2000.
I see them as permanently defacing your body.
And a lot of people regret them as they get older.
The kids show them off, the adults cover them up.
Think about why that is for a moment.
And I’ve seen more poorly done tattoos than I care to count.
Most tats don’t look like the ones on Miami Ink.
Anyways, how long can you go before you get the urge to redecorate your home?
Would you want to spend the rest of your life staring at the same painting in the same place?
If you get a tattoo you will grow tired of it, and it will become like a stain you cannot wash off to you.
And forget about tattoo removal. It’s expensive and it just leaves you with a tattoo shaped scar. A tattoo costs a couple hundred to get, and a few thousand to remove. And you’re still going to be scarred for life.
You should respect your body.
If not for religious or moral reasons, then do it for the sake of common sense at least.
Paying someone to deliberately scar my skin does not seem to me a good use of my entertainment dollar.
Oh, come now. A tattoo lowers your opinion even faster than watching a woman eat her own boogers?
I don't know what your age is or your body type. All I know is that:
I find tattoos on women very unattractive. I don't care if it's the cute little dolphin on your ankle OR the Harley-Davidson insignia on your shoulder. When you hit your 40s or 50s, that sucker's going to expand up your spine, especially if it's a tattoo right at your lower back above the panty line. God I hate that!
You're not going to fit into your low-rider jeans forever. So spare me the agony and be natural. Please?
“A pretty woman is like a work of art. A tattoo is graffiti that covers it.”
Keeper.
I might change it JUST a little....
The human body is like a work of art.....A tatoo is graffiti that covers it.
“Nothing I know of lowers my opinion of a woman faster than seeing she has a tattoo. Well, that and any woman who has excess piercings. By excess I mean any more than one hole in each earlobe.”
I’m back in the dating scene and all of a sudden, now I’m on a quest to find a woman WITHOUT a tattoo...maybe then I’ll finally settle down....who knows.
You could have “LOVE” and “HATE” tattooed onto your knuckles. That’d be cool. Well, you’d have to be a 300-lb biker, but it’d be cool.
starting a thread that asks FReeper's opinions and then never hearing from you ever again on the topic upon which you asked.
did you press the "post" button and immediately go to bed?
Even though I hate tattoos, I know there is a great place in Port Washington.
