The 18-year-old beauty contestant who mesmerized the nation with her verbal "brilliance" at the Miss Teen USA pageant over the weekend actually entered beauty pageants to improve her personal communication skills, WND can reveal.

Give her a break! With looks like that she doesn’t need brains.
She’s got a future in politics.
Is our children learning?
...sounds like almost every person here thinks they were a friggin’ genius at 18.
She’s 18 people....a few short years past puberty and barely out of the gate. She might not be splitting atoms for a living but at least give her credit for acknowledging her weak points and attacking them head on. That’s more than can be said for most 18 year old kids today. Cut her a bit of slack.
She looks smart to me. I watched the video and I think she got tongue twisted trying to remember a canned answer, and she was probably a bit nervous. The poor girl needs to be consoled.
I don’t know. She has one of those faces that ... if you stare at it for 30 minutes and then look away, you won’t remember a signle detail. These girls all look alike to me. AND she’s dumb as dirt, I couldn’t believe what she said in answer to the geography question!
LOL!
She seems to bring out a lot of envy doesn’t she?
My hubby threatens to beat up anyone who is mean to this darling little dingaling.
There is somemthing sweet about her if you ask me.
I am looking into the crystal ball. I see a young lady recording an album, a very bad album.
Package the illusion of persona
Careful to conceal
The fact that she’s only too real
She’s got to screen it
~”Superconductor” - Rush
Well, there’s always the Porn industry.
Eh. “...makes the audience feel...she really means it...”
Sorry, I don’t think Superconductor quite fits the bill here. It was written about real showmanship...like from a Madonna.
I’d say give this girl 30-40 years, and when she can no longer dine out on her looks, maybe “Losing it” from Signals.
You’re not old!
“Paging ninety year old billionaire. Please come to the nearst courtesy phone.”

Pete Garbacki said "the only intelligent thing she did was to specify 'U.S. Americans.' Canadians and Mexicans are also 'Americans' technically. We are of the United States. That is actually an intelligent thing that many of your readers are too dense to understand."
Ha!
I like cable-knit sweaters. I like them even more now.;-)
I’d hit it. (I’m #1! I’m #1!)
I have lots of maps. Please send me her address and I will be sure she gets some of them.
It sounded like she was trying to give the "PC" answer. If you mention Asian babies, Education, South Africa, and Iraq - maybe you will hit a PC talking point there somewhere.
"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable have Education, and AIDS ribbons, and stuff....and uhh,,,,,, and, uh, I believe that our Education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our Education over here in the U.S. should help Funding, and uhh, No Child Left Behind.....and uhhhh.....Enron......and, er, should help the Homeless and should help the Diversity, and Guns are Bad.... so we will be able to build up our future for our children."
