I cut my cable in April of this year, and my wife and I haven't missed it a bit. We get two broadcast channels where we are (the sticks!), but I haven't fiddled with the rabbit ears in a couple of months.
We're not missing a thing, and we're saving eighty bucks a month.
I read recently that Anne Colter had dated this POS. Anyone know if this is a fact?
Regards
Someone should remind Bill that it his ilk who kills babies, but they suck their brains out, not bash their heads in. What a POS.
I don’t think I’ve ever read an article printed in Playboy. I have taken a gander at the pages, mostly when I was in my teens and twenties, but it just isn’t my cup of tea. As an adult I’ve seen some playboy magazines a few times, and I’ve had a look. Eh... okay.
It’s sorta like sports. I love to play, but sitting on the sidelines watching, or watching television or looking at pictures... no thanks.
The whole idea of Hugh Hefner is distasteful to me. He essentially abuses those women, and none the less new babes flock to him all the time. Then he’s heralded by the media as the greatest thing to happen to sex since the organs.
The guy is creepy looking. As a guy, he’s just one of those people you can’t believe women would pay any attention to. They don’t like you because you don’t know how to treat a lady, and then they flock to this guy.
Amazing...
Well, I don’t know about that, but slandering our troops was bad enough. Thanks for the reply.
Sadly too true. Thanks PeggyBac...
**grin** It was an easy face-mask on our guy The Slanderer. He's real good at dishing it out, so he should be able to take it, neh? ;-)
The best part of Maher can be found at the bottom of an outhouse.
I would love to see both the Dems and the Pubs be confronted with such statements in a debate so we can contrast the difference in the responses.
Uh, no. Maher is reprehensible, but that is NOT his meaning at all.
Trent Lott wasn't saying anything racist when he was congratulating Strom Thurmond on Thurmond's birthday, either, but Lott's meaning was "interpreted" by others.
We're just "interpreting" Maher's meaning, since he was good enough to leave it unclear for us.
Personally, I agree with DoughtyOne. The Slanderer has a track record.
Well he should be, but your ‘neh’ pretty well covers it.
Ouch!
New Rule, journalists in Iraq must stop celebrating miracle babies rescued by American Soldiers. Like when U.S. Troops found little Fatima lying in a pile of rubble, and instead of bashing her head in with a rock, they brought her to a hospital. (Using high pitched mocking voice ) Ooo, what a miracle."
The last comment of his couldn't have referred to anything else IMO. Thus, he termed it a miracle the troops took her to a hospital instead of the alternative.
I could be wrong, but that's my take.
Well, if you’ll read the reply I made just above this one, the isolated comments make it quite clear IMO. Thanks for the note of agreement.
The “Ooo, what a miracle” makes it clear he’s being sarcastic... In other words, he’s downplaying the actions of soldiers who help children because it’s non-heroic and (in his opinion) not newsworthy.
Well, I think you’ve got an alternative point, but I don’t really see the need to suggest it would be 50/50 whether the troops would crush the kids head in vs taking her to the hospital.
Imagine the way this would be taken if Hillary Clinton were substituted in the place of the troops in this desparate attempt at a laugh at the expense of our troops. You can’t tell me the left would see it any differenty than I do here, if the focus were their fair haired candidate.
Maher knows what he’s doing. He’s building on the premise that our troops are disgusting. He’s reinforcing that premise with charged words and I don’t care for it.
