Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....

I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org
.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter
Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.
I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

I think that the bulk of that support might come from people with a vested personal interest in what happens and neo conservative wannabe empire builders. One thing is for sure. The 69 or so percent of Americans opposed to this governments foreign policies are not move on.org members. But they are potential Ron Paul voters. I gave a few of many reasonable grounds for conservative opposition to this Iraqi police action and WOT policies in #268. Those concerns are not just mine alone and I don't expect to get a reasonable response on them from anyone here. But the American people expect more from the political arena then I do from FR.
This is crazy. I haven’t posted in favor of ANY Rs on any thread because a. I don’t like ‘em and b. I think there’s a better candidate coming but *I’m* the pariah in the ‘eliminate your fellow freeper based on which idiot he went out early for’?
The neocons who put our kids in Iraq have no honor.
My first exposure to Ron Paul was during an earlier Republican debate, and to be honest, I thought he kind of sounded all crazy in an anarchist kind of way.
Nothing against your choices, but the guy seemed more a Democrat than conservative to me.
Not saying I can’t be wrong JG, but that was Ron Paul’s impression on me.
They’re well beyond meds. A nice long stay in a padded room might do them some good, however.
Have I told you that you can be annoying when you ask logical questions?
You tell me the truth. You tell me that my son died for oil. You tell me that my son died to make your friends rich. You tell me my son died to spread the cancer of Pax Americana, imperialism in the Middle East. You tell me that, you don't tell me my son died for freedom and democracy...You get America out of Iraq, you get Israel out of Palestine" [31]

Normally I would follow up like an adult, but in this case...
Stuff it Nicky...
Nothing is wrong in going to Iraq considering Saddam was financing most of the terrorist in Israel, had his little terrorist training camps and wanted to reconstitute his nuke program.
Where it gets tough for us is Iran and Syria are fighting a war by proxy through Iraq.
Truth is we need to be at war with Iran and Syria.
These Islamic types are crazy and I don’t hear of any fatwa against Osama Bin Laden or radical Islam, so we have quite the world war ahead of us IMO which will be much of Islam against the rest of the world because they refuse to behave.
We were decades in Germany and Japan. It is the nature of war. War is tough and what you run away from today becomes ten times the problem tomorrow.
About a week ago. I'm on break right now though. ROFL
Ron Paul:
He has never voted to raise taxes (thus earning him the name “the taxpayer’s best friend).
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
Is strongly pro-life and sponsored a bill defining life as beginning at conception.
Is for health freedom and strongly opposed to government health care.
Wants to end birthright citizenship, and secure our borders to end illegal immigration.
I just don’t see you he could “seem” like a Democrat.

Right after you choke first.
hehehe
bttt
Do you mind if I ping Jim to arbitrate/confirm this?
I support all those in the GOP who I consider conservatives, including Ron Paul. I don't trash the other GOP candidates, I just don't support them.
America needs a BIG change in government, that's clear.

I don’t believe that invading Iraq was to “free the Iraqi people”, or any of the other lies we were told, and few Americans believe it either. Our children are getting slaughtered over there needlessly in what will be an endless war to secure oil rights and power.
Did I accidentally hyperspace to DU or KOS?

You weren’t pinged to the response you made, so, wth are you asking me to back up your false claim?
Pay him no mind. He’s just another Paulestinian with a God complex.
