Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....
http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3421862
I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org
.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter
Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.
I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

Sure is funny how you Ron Paul supporters sound like posters at DU and Kos. They call themselves patriotic too. So are we and if a Paulnut posts drivel that sounds like it oozed from a liberal’s lips, those of us that take offense to it have every right to respond how we want to on this public forum.

They did the very same thing with CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN Tom Tancredo, Randy Graf, and a host of other conservatives. The slime machine is also trying to degrade another conservative, Duncan Hunter. They don't want anyone around who isn't a member of the Washington neocon boy's club.

“Couldn’t we make it about oil since the prospect of democracy or human rights there are so remote? I’m sick of these high prices that have skyrocketed during the war.”
If it was a war for oil, the price of gas would be down, not up. That is basic economics. More supply (free oil), the price goes down. Less supply (we have to pay for oil), the price goes up.

"You trashing patriotic conservative American janetgreen tells me ALL I need to know about YOU."
Please show me where I did that.
You can't because I did no such thing.
I agreed that this thread is looking like one you would find on DU or KOS.
It's ugly, and out of control.
That's all there was to that post.

that you find janetgreen’s comments akin to what would be found at the KOS or DU shows how ignorant you are about what many conservatives who do fall prostrate before the GOP or Bush actually think
To: nicmarlo
Oh, dude. I’ve watched you stalk ‘freepettes’ all over the forum for months now. There is a final arbiter, the owner of FR, and if I get the message you and your ilk are the ‘new frontier’, I will gladly pack up tent and go to whichever site you suggest. Who you got in your corner?

She's a very passionate FReeper, jrooney. That's all. Just disagree with her and move on. You're not going to change her mind, that's for sure. She sees her beloved nation circling the drain with globalist foreign policies and socialist domestic policies, and for the most part I agree with her. No need to pick a fight because she's not the type to get into long thread wars.
Now me, you can battle anytime but your buddy Petronski wore me out already. Maybe another night :-)
There. I PINGED you Petronski. Happy now?
To: txflake
You all stalk. You come onto Ron Paul threads for the entire point of STALKING and baiting.

No, correct that...

The Great Conservative Hillary Clinton thanks you for your absolutist stand... Possibly if the GOP would nominate a real American candidate, a Hillary presidency would not happen. Most conservatives will refuse ever again to vote for the "lesser of two evils", a scenario that we're all very familiar with, and many will vote third party as a matter of principle.
There's little difference anymore in the "two" parties anyway, and Bush has proved that.

For the very LAST time, my post had absolutely nothing to do with her,
nor any other single post or poster on this thread.
It had to do with this thread in it’s entirety.
I hope this post makes some sense to you.

Now let me get this straight, on the one hand you talk about 4 people then post a link asking everyone to join in....
I posted a graphic link to remind everyone to register Republican if they aren't in an open-primary state. I was one of those who has objected to the entire open-primary system and Motor-Voter, long before you ever set foot here. But since we couldn't stop it, we should take advantage of it. And why shouldn't we go after every single vote? I certainly don't feel a need to chase any voters away from my candidate. His message is strong and compelling even if you don't happen to like it and feel entitled to post endless rude comments and trollbait on various RP threads.
If you are not supporting in any way the MoveOn screed, why invite them over.
Karsten is invading their event, trying to convert them to Ron Paul. If they're MoveOn's, chances are they're supporting Kucinich or Gravel anyway. (I actually have an old friend who is supporting Gravel and I challenged him to give him some money. So he had me look it up on the internet and I gave him the info and he called me up to tell me he had given Gravel $10. LOL. Fine with me since he's not giving it to the Wife Of Clinton or Obama.)
Man, you guys suck the fun and joy out of every election.
