Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....
http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3421862
I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org
.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter
Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.
I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

I insist on UNDERMINING that traitor of our republic.
pinging you here, dude
You will be banned very soon and go back to DU or wherever you came from.
“In effect, theyre objectively aiding al Qaeda.”
Not sure who you are talking about since you said “they’re aiding al Qaeda.”
But I do know that the US govt gives millions upon millions to the Palistinians. If the historical data is correct, most Palistinians are terrorists. So “objectively,” the US govt is aiding al Qaedfa. Is this the “they” to whom you referred? If so, you are absolutely correct.
She will be banned very soon.
Your beloved president just sold 28 billion dollar worth of the latest weapons to the Saudis. When the Saudis “choose” to start the next war, may your victory be as glorious. Sorry, but I reserve my blind faith for the more spiritual things.
You cannot undermine the Commander in Chief without undermining the troops he leads. That is the act of a traitor.
No? You use gasoline? Then you are part of the problem, too. Trying to make yourself feel better by attacking what you think is 'big oil', when in reality your Rat contingent makes up half of petroleum consumption.
So passionately spoken. bttt
“Your beloved president just sold 28 billion dollar worth of the latest weapons to the Saudis.”
Any chance this sale has affected the surge in Iraq?
What should we expect from someone whose entire existance is based on theory. A theory, which btw, is based on lies.
Not if the Commander has violated the supreme law of the country, the Constitution. It is an undeclared war, therefore an illegal war. That,in fact, is the righteous argument of many Republicans when Clinton wanted to bomb Kosovo.
Welllll...considering US policy (i.e. WWI) laid the groundwork for the Communists to come to power, I suppose you could say we were fixing yet another foreign policy mistake eh?
I would suggest two books for you to start with Wilson's War: How Woodrow Wilson's Great Blunder Led to Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, and World War II and FDR's Folly: How Roosevelt and His New Deal Prolonged the Great Depression by Jim Powell. Sort of basic reading but we have to start with the basics when it comes to discussing cause and effect with 'conservatives' who don't realize there was a world before 1941....
We must win this war no matter how long it takes, and no matter how much sacrifice we need to make, or else we will face consequences that are worst than any nightmare we cannot imagine
Same thing said by a Crusader at one time I would suppose. And it was bunk then as well. Oh, sorry, you see the Crusades happened at a point in time long before 1941....
It’s still pretty miserable. It may lead to further blowback though, which will surely mean the end of liberty at home. Such is the sorrow of empire.
Great books you recommended. I will add The Illusion of Victory by Thomas Fleming (the historian/novelist, not the editor of the enjoyable Chronicles magazine)
Aahh, yer funny. Not.
Not trying to be funny. Just having fun. Trolls are fun to watch when they’re swinging from their own rope.
There, there. It’s going to be all right. Now let’s come along to occupational therapy.
