Ron Paul supporters urged to attend MoveOn.org Rally !
RonPaul MeetUp Group ^ | 26 August 2007 | David Osborne

Posted on 08/26/2007 10:44:41 AM PDT by davidosborne

Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....

http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3421862

I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org

.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter

Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.

I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

Tell the truth, doesn’t it upset you just a little bit that the Paul group is willing to associate at all with the likes of MoveOn.Org? I’ve liked some things Paul has done very much, but this... Ouch!

Perhaps Paul will slap some heads-together inside his support group. If so, that would mitigate the negatives associated with this.

“Paul opposes the Iraq war on Constitutional and traditional grounds. He doesn’t oppose it based on anti-war left grounds.”

Yes, Ron Paul certainly throws the Constitution around as his reason for everything he believes in. We all know that. But he basically ends up in the same place as these leftists when it comes to foreign policy.

I found this Human Events interview interesting and illustrates many aspects of Ron Paul’s foreign policy views.

According to Ron Paul we’re responsible for 9/11 because we installed the Shah.

HE: You’re saying overthrowing Mossadegh in 1953 and putting in the Shah led to the hostage-taking and 9/11?

RP: Absolutely.

HE: In other words, the militant fundamentalist regime took revenge on us for overthrowing the secular left-of-center regime in ’53?

RP: There is always some militant-violent-jihadist looking to rally that faction, but they have to have incentives. The incentive is when we impose our will on them and we get involved in their internal politics. Besides, it contradicts everything the Founders theorized, and there’s no constitutional authority for us to march around the world undermining different governments.

"Here is an article that demonstrably shows just what your candidate really is."

What you wrote suggests you may be incapable of rational, logical thinking. That or you're just baiting Paul supporters.

I don’t know of any long time Republicans or Conservatives that would even think of supporting Ron Paul. Not that there isn’t any, I just keep getting the idea that we are being punked by Far Left Anarchists.

You got it wrong there. The candidate has no control over who gets invited where, but his supporters here seem to think this is a ‘good’ thing for their candidate. Kinda shows you where there ‘conservative’ values lie.

Ron Paul supporters tend to ape Jim Jones followers.

Only problem with that is you have it BASS ACKWARDS! It isn’t the moonbats trying to snooker the aPaulogists — it is the other way around!

Wrong again toots, but thanks for playing.

MoveOn’s thinking is not stupid. They figure Paul can’t win, but can help the pacifist movement. They see him as a useful idiot.

So it's OK for this poster to keep spamming Paul threads with this link but I post the Wyler's graphic once (in humor) and it gets deleted.

Dead last in the polls is where he will stay.

Sure, keep deluding yourself with manufactured polls from the establishment. I bet you subscribe to the New York Times too.

The are alot of Good American people supporting Paul. You choose to see a few radicals. You also refuse to see the whole picture. The Republicans party base is shrinking. Free Republic is losing many users over the past 5 years. Check Alexa. So while some of you want to play kissy face with Bush, Guiliani, Romney, the rest of us are looking for a little less politics and little more truth.

I'm with you! Ask the Paul haters what their candidate will do to shrink the size of government.

Then when it gets quite, you can hear the crickets . . .

>...I wish Hunter was doing better, but “establishment choice?”....<

Rep. Duncan Hunter is clearly NOT the choice of the globalist Establishment. Rudy or Fred can claim that honor.

Duncan Hunter belongs to no special interest group, either. He is his own man, and his record proves he has adhered to his high conservative standards through many years.

It is unfortunate, but I think the Far Left is using Ron Paul to spread their own anti-war agenda.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner. Ron Paul is 100% completely a trojan horse. His backers are not who people might think they are. His backers are hard core “netroots” libs trying to manipulate opinion.

The funny thing is how blatantly obvious they are.

This is the first I've heard of it. No doubt, we have many indies and there are certainly some Dims supporting Ron Paul. Personally, I'd doubt that any significant number of RP supporters will hang out with the socialist types at Moveon.org.

There's no mention of this at the main RP blogs and forums.

No wonder you support this candidate, because you are simply nothing more than an FR troll.

Wow, how did you know? I'm outed!

Here is an article that demonstrably shows just what your candidate really is.

Show some evidence that Paul's campaign is actively colluding with or working with MoveOn moonbats. Show me some statements that Paul has supported the anti-war left. Truth is, you can't, you'd rather believe the guilt-by-association game that's being played.

A liberal masquarading as a conservative masquarading as a libertarian. You and your friends are one of the reasons this country faces an enemy from within.

So Paul's a secret liberal who's working on behalf of the DNC. His voting record and statements are all manufactured lies, I guess. Talk about nutjobs and kooks...boy, you Paul bashers revel in the very same tactics that you accuse Paul supporters of.
