Each Parent Thought The Other Was Taking Daughter To Child Care
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-myFOXstl.com) --
A 7 month old baby girl died after police say she was left in a locked car for 4 hours in the sweltering summer heat.

Like people drive off with their purse, briefcase, or food on top of their car. Important details can just drop out of your brain. These baby situations are so tragic. It is unimaginable. I know I’d be haunted forever if I forgot a pet in the car.
And you can blame do-gooding Donk lawmakers for removing the baby's last chance to be remembered:
Heck, beyond the simple accident. What if it was a totally boneheaded screw up? It still happens. And in this case, the consequences are so brutally irrevocable, and so permanently damage the lives of the mom and dad who must live with it forever, that what else is there to say? It's as you say, I believe. They need love and consolation.
Anyway, I don't believe they were trying to murder the kid. They made a mistake. I remind myself of this sort of thing when I'm driving in my car, or doing anything where a wrong move or bad judgement could cost me. People forget that life has sharp pointy teeth, and sometimes shows no mercy. That's why they judge, I believe. It's a defense mechanism. They don't want to deal with the reality of just how harsh life can be, so they rationalize it by placing blame.
I notice something interesting, alot of career women today seem to be so, well, it’s hard to describe, but they seem to be lacking something, maybe it’s softness. This could be interpreted as a lack of a loving nature. It’s a little unsettling when you think about it or when you notice it. If you don’t know what I am talking about, then think Hillary Clinton, her type isn’t as unusual as one might think. As a matter of a fact, many women who will be voting for her have that same quality.
I learned LONG ago that if I put something on top of the car it was GONE!
I think the biggest thing here is the communication aspect of it. In my work and elsewhere the biggest problems often are due to problems in communication. I can’t imagine the amount of guilt and blame that will be passed back and forth between husband and wife over this tragedy.
The mom will continue to work, don’t worry about that. Of course, it’s going to be hell, I don’t care who it is.
Ah, yes. A tragic accident, two parents devastated for life. But that’s not enough for the Roman galleries.
They want to see punishment and more suffering. Some people get a big thrill out of the suffering of others.
You know I’d also say that the increase in “daycare” duty over the same period of time seems to be involved as well.
i guess now this is the newest parental accessory, but it’s a sad commentary
It took me until I was a grandmother to figure those signs out. (don't ask why) It's very unnerving when I have a grandchild sitting in the backseat in their carseat and someone decides to drive two inches behind me. (and no, I'm not talking left lane on the freeway, and I don't drive 20 mph)
But I doubt that those signs have any effect.
another thought, put your purse, briefcase, cell phone, right on TOP of your kid, won’t forget now
Dreadful. May that poor little baby rest in peace.
It’s too bad there isn’t more empathy like yours on this thread although it seems that yours has been earned with great suffering.
I totally agree with you about accidents just happening. We need to be gentle with each other. We have no idea what the other person’s sufferings have been.
I hope your theory of why others judge harshly is true. I’ll think on that one.
I remember on another thread where the mother says she always clips her purse onto the car seat because no woman will forget her purse.
MMMmm Great idea!

I remarked to one of my employees today here in nashville that right now some poor baby or pet is dying in a car somewhere

parent of 5 here
I think more cars now give you the option of deactivating the passenger side airbag for this reason
