I suspect you’ll find the Fl drops or vitamins have MUCH more Fl than water requirements.

I’m sorry about the flourosis, but even that is mentioned in the article cited. Again, it’s anecdotal, and VERY rare for any of us to worry about. In all my days I’ve never even heard of anyone having a problem “probably” (much less ABSOLUTELY) due to Fl water.

And that argument is a true example of flouride at work. Care to try again?

“Unfortunately our school systems have become so bad, that facts are just irrellevant to about 30% of the people.”

Considering some of those 30% are Nobel laureates and professionals in the dental field I’ll believe them.

PS., do you believe global warming because some Nobel people uplift it?

Please,

Cite me one, one clinical pier reviewed study that has ever showed floridated drinking water, has been linked to cancer in humans ever.

You can’t, because they don’t exist. In well over 50 years of floridation, not one study has ever shown any link between cancer and floridated drinking water.

However countless studies have proven the proective effect that it has on teeth.

So if I don’t blindly agree that fluoride is good and our government needs to be adding this garbage to our water then I’m stupid?

It always amazes me how many ‘conservatives’ on FR sound so much like liberals. Replace fluoride with global warming and you folks would be model leftists.

Bottled water tastes like garbage (usually because of out-gassing plastic) - and guess what most of it is? It’s a huge scam. Most people buy it because they think it’s “healthy”, that’s all.

My Baltimore water is some of the best. I have no qualms with it, except occasionally they let out the stops on Cl and you can taste it if not smell it.

Fluoride is not needed for any biological process within the body. Ingesting something completely unnecessary for your body which mimics chemicals like iodine is far from confirmed as ‘safe’.

http://www.mercola.com/2002/feb/9/fluoride_safety3.htm

“I would advise against fluoridation.. Side-effects cannot be excluded .. In
Sweden, the emphasis nowadays is to keep the environment as clean as possible with regard to pharmacologically active and, thus, potentially toxic substances.”
- Dr. Arvid Carlsson, co-winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine (2000)

“The American Medical Association is NOT prepared to state that no harm
will be done to any person by water fluoridation. The AMA has not carried out any research work, either long-term or short-term, regarding the possibility of any side effects.” - Dr. Flanagan, Assistant Director of Environmental Health, American Medical Association. [letter]

“I am appalled at the prospect of using water as a vehicle for drugs.
Fluoride is a corrosive poison that will produce serious effects on a
long range basis. Any attempt to use water this way is deplorable.”
- Dr. Charles Gordon Heyd, Past President of the American Medical Association.

“E.P.A. should act immediately to protect the public, not just on the cancer
data, but on the evidence of bone fractures, arthritis, mutagenicity and other effects.” - Dr. William Marcus, Senior Toxicologist at E.P.A.

“Water contains a number of substances that are undesirable, and fluorides are just one of them” stated Dr. F. A. Bull, State Dental Director of Wisconsin, speaking at the Fourth Annual Conference of State Dental Directors.

“You can’t, because they don’t exist. In well over 50 years of floridation, not one study has ever shown any link between cancer and floridated drinking water.”

Where did I note cancer? Oh yeah in post 29 which had

“6. The publication in May 2006 of a peer-reviewed, case-controlled study from Harvard University which found a 5-7 fold increase in osteosarcoma (a frequently fatal bone cancer) in young men associated with exposure to fluoridated water during their 6th, 7th and 8th years (Bassin et al., 2006).”

So there has been a peer reviewed case controlled study showing a link to cancer. There have also been numerous other studies showing it causing other serious health concerns. But since that doesn’t agree with your pre-conceived notion please continue to throw insults like the other fluoride lovers.

You aren’t reading the articles I cited.

In EVERY water supply there is F. Fluorosis is even why the whole thing about fluoride started, apparently. People with ugly mottled teeth were YET found to have cavity-free teeth that were very strong. (Hence, if it’s mostly a cosmetic issue, I’d hardly say fluorosis is a good reason to get rid of F.)

It was found that the people with stained BUT STRONG teeth had MUCHO F in the water. The doctors tried to figure out if there was a way to get the benefits (fewer cavities) of F without the costs (staining). The recommended level of fluoridation was discovered, and that is what it is. It is not at all high - if it were, lots of fluorosis would result.

Again - the F is already in the water! And in some places, it’s naturally higher than the recommended! I don’t think that killed anyone in those regions. Did TX have a higher death rate from “disease” (as varied cause as that might be) than NY before anyone knew this?

You have offered oppinion quotes, but that is not what I asked for.

I said show me 1 pier reviewed study ever published that shows floridated drinking water to cause cancer.

Offering individuals opinions, regardless of the letters after their names, does not remotely meet that request.

If Floridated water has been proven to be dangerous, finding pier reviewed published studies to back it up should be a no brainer. Please provide one.

Perhaps you should read ALL the “studies” - some of which are bogus with bad science.

I suspect you decided in the start that it was somehow “bad” and have simply run with the articles and people that support that view.

I suggest you use the word chlorine in the first sentence of your post and it will be obvious that your reasoning is flawed.

I’ve already asked if they believe global warming based on the fact that some esteemed laureates go along with it.

Opinions don’t count. Only solid data does.

“Bottled water tastes like garbage (usually because of out-gassing plastic) - and guess what most of it is? It’s a huge scam. Most people buy it because they think it’s “healthy”, that’s all.”

HMMM. Lets see, drink a bottle of water that is filtered and tested at the factory then bottled. Most of it tastes pretty good but may taste strange to someone used to lots of chemicals in their water vs nothing but H20 and some trace minerals.

or I can drink water that is filtered, tested, and then put into miles of pipes. These pipes are known to have leaks exposing the water to any number of unknown substances, viruses, bacteria, chemicals and so forth. The same water system which the govt producing it has confirmed they cannot adequately protect it from terrorists introducing poisons.
