Barnicle to WaPo, Newsweek Reporters: 'Regular People' Like Us Want Change

Looking to sample the political opinions of regular Americans? What better cross-section than the denizens of MSM newsrooms! That seems to be Mike Barnicle's attitude, at least. The former Boston Globe columnist-turned-MSNBC contributor is guest-hosting for Chris Matthews on this afternoon's "Hardball."
Chatting with guests Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post and Holly Bailey of Newsweek, talk turned to the topic of Americans' desire for political change. At one point Barnicle made this observation:
MIKE BARNICLE: The force for change that's out there, if you talk to regular people, people like me, people like you, the idea that they want a change is a very powerful force.

Yes, good old regular people like the Washington-based MSM. Those folks 89% of whom famously voted for Bill Clinton in 1996. Why bother with those expensive polls? Just run a focus group in say, the MSNBC newsroom. You know, those "regular people" who booed President Bush's 2003 State of the Union.

Barnicle, et al, sums up the U.S. news media: a self-absorbed cult that gets together in TV studios to whack each other off.

I suppose Mike Barnicle is a regular guy by Boston standards. He is a plagarist with an attitude who fantasizes about the Red Sux winning the World Series and moaning about how unfair life is while he hauls down his huge salary for doing little but griping about how unfair life is.
Someone ought to tell him to see a doctor. He looks like Fred Merz of the I Love Lucy show. There might be some underlying health reason, other than Bush Derangement Syndrome.

To talk about “change” means different things to different people.
There will be a new president elected next year, so you have “change” of sorts right there.
Does Hillary Clinton represent “change”? Or is she a “blast to the past”?

Barnicle, the plagiarizing hypocrite who is so outrageous that even the Boston globe was compelled to expel him from their little coven.

People in the MSM would rather play politics than do their job of reporting.

Of course we want change. We want Harry Reid out along with his numbskulls, we want GOP Senators to get spine implants (maybe they can get a group rate), we want W to wake up on illegal immigration, we want a more vigorous prosecution of the war, We want Popeye Pelosi bounced, and we want Murtha called out ---ASAP!!!
And some serious journalism in this country would be a welcome change.

Hillary has managed to make herself a riddle wrapped in an enigma to many people. She has always been a leftist but since becoming a senator has tried to position herself more toward the center. She is trying to follow Bill Clinton’s formula. She has been consistent enough on this to alienate the extreme left. I know a lot of democrats and most of them tell me they don’t think she can win. Where I live democrats are interested in a possible Al Gore run but he has put himself to the left of Hillary which is a political “No Man’s Land.” And he would have to give up barbecue ribs and lose about 80 pounds.

Why even bother voting?
Just make Hillary and Bill presidents for life like they do in Cuba and Venezuela.
That’s the type of change that Barknuckles wants.

Reporters stopped being regular people when they started to attend journalism schools and wanted to be known as journalists with something really really important to say.

The idea that MSM scumbags(especially leftists like barnacle) think of themselves as “regular people” sickens me.
To: Radix
Guys like Barnacle evolved because schools have cut back on recess, which used to feature playgrounds and hidden areas where teachers couldn't peer, and zit-faced jedis would regularly kick the butts of the little lord fauntleroys, those who thought they were better than anyone else and elite because their mommys or nannys told them they were. Nothing like a good butt kickin to level people, and make them nice and humble. Oh, maybe Mike woulda beena regular guy from South Boston, but, no, society passed him by and now he is just an elitist orifice...

And Danton, Hillary, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc.
