"The solution to the horror of abortion can and must be found."

The solution has been around a long time. It's have the baby.

She’s drunk or crazy.

I was thinking alcoholic when I read the piece.

I found it. She wrote under “A.N. Roquelaure” but apparently these books are being republished under “Anne Rice writing as A.N. Roquelaure.”

I enjoyed all the vampire books.

I bought her book on the childhood of Christ, the first of a trilogy, and just couldn’t get into it. I gave it to somebody else to read. I guess I expected some revelation but it is just a novel. She combines Gnostic texts and Christian legend to fill in the blank spaces in the Gospels.

In a foreword or author’s note Rice explains how through an epiphany she returned to the Catholic Church and decided to begin writing books glorifying God. Sort of like when Bob Dylan briefly got into the Christian music scene around 1980.

Was she a Christian when she wrote smut under the name “A.N. roquelaure”?

It is clear that Anne Rice has taken leave of her senses, if she ever had any, in endorsing the beast. If she is a Christian, she is a very confused one. Christians are for the most part conservative, so why would she endorse a Communist?

She used to be a decent writer, but I don’t think she has written a decent book since “The Tale of the Body Thief.”

“I repeat: I am a Christian; I am a Democrat. I support Hillary Clinton....”

It is strange that she would make this statement as Hillary and she are poles apart on this issue.

Just my opinion; but I don’t believe Ms. Rice sees the big picture.

“I am a Christian.” That’s what Jane Fonda said....

Yes true; the vampire and Goth folks now have a clear choice in Hillary Clinton 2008.

And yet the Hobgoblins remain underrepresented.

Rice is clearly appplauding the Science Fiction Democratic Party. The current edition is the party of murder, appeasement, treason and socialism. Great family values -the Stalin family, that is.

How can someone is good conscience who claims to be pro life vote for someone who isn’t pro life?

Doesn’t make any sense to me!

“I am also not convinced that all of those advocating anti-abortion positions in the public sphere are necessarily practical or sincere. I have not heard convincing arguments put forth by anti-abortion politicians as to how Americans could be forced to give birth to children that Americans do not want to bear.”

I’ve got a novel idea. If you don’t want to be forced to bear a child, DON’T GET PREGNANT! There’s a little thing the Christian God created to facilitate bearing children. Its called the institution of marriage.

I won’t comment on whether or not she is a Christian, that is for God to determine.

I hope she continues to develop as a Christian and change her support for the Democratic Party.

Not a surprise. Everyone knows that vampires are hand-in-glove with communists.

I want to add here that I am Pro-Life. I believe in the sanctity of the life of the unborn. Deeply respecting those who disagree with me, I feel that if we are to find a solution to the horror of abortion, it will be through the Democratic Party....

And much as I am horrified by abortion, I am not sure -- as a student of history – that Americans should give up the right to abortion.

I want to know what kind of hard drugs can make a person this stupid.

My two cents:

1. This is an unintelligent woman who loves to hear herself talk.

2. Her success has convinced her that what she says is worth listening to; “I’m a famous author - all my words are pearls of wisdom”.

3. I loathed her vampire books, I thought they were idiotically written, contrived, derivative and hokey, riddled with deus ex machinae and dracula cliches. Many weak-minded people were inspired by her books to attempt to become vampires, join covens, and other soul-ruining journeys into the darkness. Now she thinks she can pontificate her way out of the responsibility.

JMHO

“Separation of church and state” is a fraud and a lie. Congress shall make no law establishing a religion. That’s it.
