The embattled principal of an Arabic-themed public school in New York resigned Friday after coming under fire for failing to condemn the use of the highly charged word "intifada" on T-shirts.
Debbie Almontaser was supposed to oversee the Khalil Gibran International Academy in Brooklyn. The city's Department of Education says it remains committed to launching the school in September.
Almontaser's departure comes on the heels of an editorial flaying in the New York Post and an article this week that connected Almontaser to Arab Women Active in Art and Media.
That group is selling shirts imprinted with the words "Intifada NYC." It shares office space with the Saba Association of American Yemenis, which counts Almontaser among its board members.
They laugh in our faces as they undermine our country with the help of the DemocRATS and the ACLU.
She may quit, but her schools propaganda goes on.
Why do they have schools which are seperate schools here in the US. Isn’t this discrimination and why is it being allowed?
Ya gotta love this kind of assimilation.
“Islamic madrassa in New York” ping
This school will have classes in chemestry, (bomb making), religion, (wahabism), and all the other things good little muzzies need to learn at tax payers expense.
Well, they have a school for homosexuals, why not another school that would cater to other perversions..
A member of a tiny religious minority chooses to celebrate the intifada in the most heavily Jewish city outside of Tel Aviv. Obviously, not very bright.
just.... lovely.....
So when are they going to start funding Catholic and Christian schools?
Yet another glowering in-your-face heavily veiled Muslimah woman demanding total respect and submission toward Islam.
In a pig’s eye!
;^)
This is puzzling. Since when did an Islamofascist cave from political pressure?
Public monies paying for this B.S.
Those who promoted an pushed for it should be flogged.
I thought there was a separation between church and state. How can public money be spent on a religious school?
Bloomberg.
It’s ok as long as it is not a Christian school.
Hadn’t you heard?
NO way man, He’s going to run for president and become the savior of America.
He’s rich.
Well that is the only thing I can say about the guy, He’s rich.
Can you imagine the screech from the ACLU if public funds were used to finance and operate a Christian, Jewish, Hindu or Scientology school?
