Why Do They Hate Us?

Why do they hate us?

Americans have been asking this question for nearly six years now, and for six years President Bush and his accomplices have been offering the same tired response: "They hate us for our freedoms." With every passing year, that answer becomes less convincing.

Part of the problem has to do with the question itself. Who exactly are they? Are we referring to al-Qaida and its cohorts? Are we talking about Iran, Syria, and the other nation-states whose interests in the Middle East do not properly align with America's? Or perhaps we mean Hamas, Hezbollah, or the myriad religious nationalist organizations across the Muslim world that share neither the ideology nor the aspirations of global, transnational groups like al-Qaida, but that have nevertheless been dumped into the same category: them.

“They hate us for our freedoms.”

Bush is right.

They hate us because we are free.

We are free to choose to STAND IN THEIR WAY and their facist goals and defend freedoms for all. That tends to make them upset. LOL

Well, progressives should know better. If they claim to hate gun-toting religious fanatics, look no further than the jihadists, who are 1) sexist (stonings of adulterers) 2) homophobic (executions of homosexuals) 3) racist (Darfur genocide) and 4) imperialist (trying to establish Sharia everywhere from Russia to Nigeria to the Philippines).

Btw, they probably first got the separation of Church and State idea from Jefferson, who totally pwned the Mohammedans in the First Barbary War. (Without a declaration of war, Paulettes!)

This wasn’t an issue until Bush stole the presidency. [wink]

This is Slate, after all.

The bottom line is, it makes not one whit of difference why they hate us. No matter what we do, it is not going to change. If they hate us for a specific reason and we address it For example: they hate us because we have military bases on Saudi soil. We leave. They find some other excuse. They hate us because of “FILL IN BLANK HERE”.

Makes no difference at all, only liberals think it does, and libs are their allies anyway.

It’s OK to ponder why they hate us.
But the answer doesn’t really matter.
::::::
True, because the answer is well known. It is about democracy, the dreaded D-word when it comes to taking power away from the Islamic freak mullahs....and it is an easy dupe for the impoverished hoards to be brainwashed with.

This is why they hate us — we are democratic, we are successful, we are a strong, independent, free people. As such they HATE everything that America represents. The fanatic muslims do not want to lose power over their mindless hoards.

The real question is, why don’t we hate them? They’re the ones behaving badly, they’re the ones locked into unreasonable, unfounded prejudice(s) against us and against one another. They’re the ones blowing up marketplaces and schools. What’s not to hate?

This lying Muslim mouthpiece must have forgotten Iran’s holding of US hostages for 444 days during the Jimmah Carter debacle. Or we could go all the way back to the Barbary Pirates of Pres. Jefferson’s day.
Islam has always been opposed to freedom. Muslims fight for the universal misery of everyone on earth being subject to their God-awful moon god. Only our brain-dead Democrats and their lapdogs in the msm and leftist blogs can shrug this off as acceptable.

Speaking personally, I mean the left and other no-nothing enemies of modernity. You know, like you-all over at slate. And I know exactly why you hate us - because you are and have ever been so freaking wrong about everything, and it hurts your self esteem to admit it. It also explodes your pretended right to boss other human beings around, which are and always have been completely baseless.

Actually, the root of their hatred is simply we don’t subscribe to a 5th-century pedophile killer.

Reza conveniently overlooks the MSM’s role in creating this anti-American world vision. Al-Qaeda, to an increasingly large degree, merely parrots what people like Reza’s fellow travelers believe and enunciate. Al-Qaeda’s writings are a giant echo chamber.

Also, what struck me about reading this piece was how incredibly arrogant it was. No condemnation of how deadly Hamas/Hezbollah were, no condemnation of the policy of beheading of people. Just a whining denunciation of “us vs. them” delineation of our enemies.

Sorry Reza. You can sugarcoat s*!t all you want. I’m not biting.

Al Qaeda really only hates the West because we have relationships with the non-Islamist governments they want overthrown. Of course they detest our culture, modern civilization, and that we dont shackle our women in burqas.

Al Qaeda uses the US as a symbol and an excuse. But their primary goal is an Islamist Middle East. If they achieve that, then they will set their sights on expanding.

Anong other things, the Muslim World hates the idea that American cultural values will be exported to their part of the world.

They don’t want their wives in lowrider jeans and becoming desperate housewives. They don’t want their daughters in tight clothes and going commando for the night, like Britney did a while back. They don’t want our music and our media polluting their culture.

Of course, they will be disappointed. In time, we will export all those values and more to their part of the word. The bad thing is that some folks over there are prepared to kill to keep it from happening.

You are right, Muslims hate everyone, because Ishmael was not the chosen one, he wss sent away from home, and Isaac received the inheritance of his father.
