Too much crumple, not enough zone.
“Hey, I clicked on the WSJ link and actually read the article without registering...what gives?”

Mebbe ol’ Rupert is already making changes?
It links through Google. They have a deal with the WSJ.
Have you executed the entire design engineering team yet?
“But it did get 40 mpg and only cost $10K.”
That’ll be the new standard when Hillary! gets in. Of course, she’ll have the armored Cadillac.
“a Chery Amulet sedan’s front end folded like a concertina in a recent trial here.”...who in their frigg’in RIGHT mind would buy this piece of s%$*?...no one. They would have to be from the LEFT!
AvtoRevu said it had to dismantle the test dummy to remove it from the car....L.O.L. Pelosi would not go easily.
And remember, Americans can’t sue Chinese manufacturers (not really).
I gave the order, but no response yet.
Sensitive spot, B4?
In the automotive or engineering field, maybe?
I was just pointing out the obvious....
Their cars are like anything else we have seen them export lately......
CRAP
??
If ALL cars were built like this Chinese thing, drivers would actually have to pay attention to driving.
The horror!
“and has vowed to work with the Chinese to improve vehicle safety “
Sounds like they need to *establish* vehicle safety before they can even start to “improve” it.
Exactly.
Half the idiots on the road don’t even realize they’re outside, the other half don’t care.
I wouldn’t know about that. Polytech M14 receivers are fairly highly regarded. Never heard any complaints about the metallurgy there.
Also, the initial test was conducted without an air bag. Today's smaller, lighter cars depend on the air bag to provide reasonable safety.
For the money, I don't think it does that badly.
You know, instead of fighting Russia and working with China, perhaps we’re going about things backwards...
Perhaps the US and Russia should work together, and boycott Chinese exports.
Who knows, maybe Russia will sell us some cool stuff instead of sending it to places like Venezuela, and Iran.
Did you watch the video??? The car does abysmally. The passenger compartment is completely crushed- airbag or no the driver is dead after that collision.
Did I miss something ?
Since when does Russia or China care about their citizen’s well-being ?
I just can’t imagine what would happen to a poor person if that was going 70-80 mph on the expressway. I would never want a car designed by the Chicoms.
