WASHINGTON -- John Schindler believes that Al-Qaeda was shaped as a modern terrorist organization during the war in Bosnia.
Schindler, author of a book on terrorism, told CNN Al-Qaeda members were invited to Bosnia by that country’s leadership, where they set up training camps operational from 1992 until 1995.
He claims Osama Bin Laden exploited the war in Bosnia for his own interests, and says there was “a worrying level of support” for the Mujahedin on the part of the U.S. administration of that time.
RFE reported that the book looks into the way in which the Clinton administration cooperated with Iran to arm the Mujahedin fighting in Bosnia, including Al-Qaeda, with weapons and equipment worth millions of dollars.

All al-Qaeda had to do was read news about Clinton to prove that America was an immoral country. And they say George Bush incites the jihadists.

Schindler also notes that bears continue to poop in the woods, and the Pope is STILL Catholic.

How can we be so stupid constantly?
“Sure Al Qaeda was in Bosnia, and sure the KLA was a terror group, but they are much better now, we really should dump on those mean old Serbs anyway, they are Christians after all”

Just like that.
Google about Krimean war Britts/French/Turkes vs. Russians.
Russia was about to enter Constantinople and destroy Islamic Turkish Empire, and West hurried in support of Muslim Empire, so just Russians wouldnt take-over.
Ben done before.

Al Qeida (The Base) was created by Osama Bin Laden in 1988 made up of ex-Mujahedeen fighters soon after the Russian/Afghan war.

I can't remember his name at the moment, but one of the most influential modern jihadist theorists visited the USA back in the late 40s - early 50s, and was shocked by what he saw even then. What shocked him was not MTV and Rap and Bill Clinton, but Rosemary Clooney and Benny Goodman. So I wouldn't blame Clinton for the jihadist view of the USA.

"Al Qeida (The Base) was created by Osama Bin Laden in 1988 made up of ex-Mujahedeen fighters soon after the Russian/Afghan war."True, but Bosnia shaped and grew al Qaeda into a real force -- and we helped them.
You have to understand the Islamic world to get that they have more respect for their enemies than they do for faithless "friends". To them, we betrayed "our own" (Bosnian Serbs, ie Christians) and that is beneath contempt -- and we supposedly "befriended them" while blowing the civil war out of proportion and then pretended to sit by while Bosnian Muslims died --that is humiliating to them.
So this is what we got.
You can't think about radical Islam in terms of adult discourse -- instead think of them in terms of narcissistic teenagers with an over sized sense of male pride. Because their women are nothing but "breeding stock", Muslim men never grow up. They remain puffed up little peacocks for life and every loss is "a humiliation to be avenged".

Yes, Carter, Regan (called them freedom fighters), and Clinton helped them. Only after bin Laden ticked off the Saudi monarchy we began to see him as a threat and the bombing of the Gold Mihor Hotel verified it.

I am thoroughly convinced that even before Afghanistan, bin Laden was quite clear on the identity of the enemy he had to defeat. That enemy was neither the Soviet Union nor Serbia.
I have no trouble believing that "Osama Bin Laden exploited the war in Bosnia for his own interests". He had done the same in Afghanistan.
