A Detroit-area newspaper says the results of Tuesday's primary could lead to Hamtramck, Michigan, becoming the first city council in the U.S. to be controlled by Muslims.
The Detroit News says there are four Muslims in the Tuesday primary. If they are among the candidates who win and go on to run in the November election, they would have a chance to join a fifth Muslim who already sits on the six-member council and is up for re-election in 2009.
Hamtramck -- historically a refuge for Catholic immigrants mostly from Poland and Ukraine -- was at the center of a controversy three years ago over an initiative allowing amplified calls to prayer from the city's mosques.

I think I’ll go have a ham sandwich now.
And who wants to bet after it is accepted how long it will be before Americans--real Americans--exert their Second Amendment and constitutional rights?
Will the MSM begin referring to it as “the holy city of Hamtramck”?
If there’s any silver lining in this, let the way this city will be governed serve as an example of what the sheeple can expect if they don’t WAKE UP.
Just like big city councils and school boards serve as a wake up call of the problems of “multiculturalists” so too might this open eyes.
The church across the street from where I grew up used to chime it’s bells on the 1/2 hour with a special bell prior to the evening Mass.
They’ll be content when they disolve the national sovereignty of the United States. Not until then.
they are, and more than American citizens are.

The Democrats will allow in any group, no matter how much that group wants to kill Americans, IF the group will vote for Democrat candidates.

That’s so true. It’s getting beyond frightening.
Who says they are the religion of peace? Those words didn’t come from a Democrat.
Who maintains that America is safe with these open borders?
Who is permitting the invasion of foreigners into the country? He’s Not a Democrat.
This is a JOINT EFFORT! Look in the frigging mirror when you want to cast blame. Democrats did NOT elect Bush to the top seat! So think real damn hard the next time voting comes around and make sure you are not electing another traitor.
Motor City ping
Not a problem as long as the other religions get airtime equivalent to the percentages of the various religions present in said schools.
Hypothetically speaking, of course.
At which time, also hypothetically speaking, they will be dissolved. Treason and traitors will no longer be tolerated. Hypothetically...
Hamtramck bump
>>The church across the street from where I grew up used to chime its bells on the 1/2 hour with a special bell prior to the evening Mass.<<
I’m not sure that bells are the same as a human voice chanting a call to prayer six times a day.
I liken it to being at a bad RV park.
B4, I don't think you need to be lecturing BQ about that. She is no Bush bot and has long ago been upset about what's been going on. The blame lies on both sides of the political, for different things. The fact is, though, there has been very little to truly differentiate between the two. The fact also is that Bush campaigned in such a way that one would almost need a crystal ball, until 2004, that is when it became very obvious to a great many people about his less than honest tactics, imho.
It’s the exact same thing just presented in a foreign culture that we care not to assimilate to.
>>She should have hugged them all. Can you imagine what the husbands would say if they came home and announced that they held a Jew in their arms today.<<
LOL!
