A Detroit-area newspaper says the results of Tuesday's primary could lead to Hamtramck, Michigan, becoming the first city council in the U.S. to be controlled by Muslims.
The Detroit News says there are four Muslims in the Tuesday primary. If they are among the candidates who win and go on to run in the November election, they would have a chance to join a fifth Muslim who already sits on the six-member council and is up for re-election in 2009.
Hamtramck -- historically a refuge for Catholic immigrants mostly from Poland and Ukraine -- was at the center of a controversy three years ago over an initiative allowing amplified calls to prayer from the city's mosques.

“Motor Dummy, think before you type!”
Jeez, off your meds today?
All non-Muslims have to come out in full force and prevent the Muslim seizure by casting their votes.
Shria law, coming to a city near you.

I like to beat myself up.
After we finish building the wall on our Southern border (giggle) maybe we can look at doing the same thing to Hamtramck.
After all, freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom from religion.
LOL sorry, I see the message was from you to you. I thought someone else was pounding on you.
Now if we can elect Obama!
barbra ann
Time to buy another two or three shotguns.
They already have the call to prayer six times a day.
And unless they have a Rosary said on the loudspeaker (the other big religion there) the Muslim prayers are right out.
Don’t you mean- Barak Hussein?
This would be funny if it weren’t true. It’s like voting for a guy named Otto Himler during wwII
What is really sad, is that growing up I thought I would never see this type of thing happening to my country. Driving with my mom down to the border in Tijuana was treat and mysterious place. Now, just another city on the map. My kids, I fear will not see the America I grew up with.
